Loved this since i was 10 back in 92 as i found it in a bargain bin and already became an adult animation fan as i watched Heavy Metal, Vampire Hunter D, American Pop, Robot Carnival, Rock and Rule and Hey Good Looking on TBS in 93. I even bought those on video as a teenager.
Im trying to find an animated movie, much like this. I think it's from the 80s I can't remember much about it cause I only saw like 5 minutes but it looked like the main character was a cat like humanoid and the other people were like ants. other than that all I really know is it's for adults. It's gotta be some kind of drug cult classic cause I saw it at schwag stock which is a pychodelics festival. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
OMFG!!! i been looking for this movie for sooo long. couldnt remember the title, all i could remember was the music and the robots, u own for putting this up!
Penn Jillette did the voice for the deformed tribal chief. N.F.N. Teller played the deformed Octum. this movie was great first saw it when I was about 6 great than even better when I got older and saw it again. Being older I was able to better comprhend the movie.
Does this movie remind you of Avatar? i mean this is one of Cameron's favorite animated movies as he loves Laloux's movies and used this as one of the inspirations to his new movie.
I remember always seeing this at blockbuster when I was a kid and now that I've seen this clip with all the boobs I'm so sorry I didn't ask my mom to rent it.
I used to watch this every morning at my dads house, good time! hehheheh

Isaac Asimov had precious little to do with this movie. He basically was hired as an assistant for the english translation.
And why does it say "directed by Harvey Weinstein" in the beginning?

I typed the credits exactly as it was written on the VHS official box. And it's "Bob," not "Harvey!!"

Thanks for posting this! I've loved this movie since I was a kid, and it deserves to be seen by any sci-fi fans out there.

its great, but it sure does remind me of Le Planee Sauvage....to much copying here.

Maybe it's because both were done by Rene Laloux.
