I'm a new Tristania fan. I heard the studio recording of "Angellore" and thought it was amazing. Then I watched this video (which is great quality, by the way) and I thought I was watching some sort of wedding/tribute band.

Sorry, new people in Tristania, but this is all wrong. This isn't doom, gloom and goth. This is like some sort of feel-good party band. The female lead singer is supposed to be in some sort of trance, not shaking her booty and working the dudes in the crowd.

Mary is a warm hearted latino lady with a sunny positive feel to her. She`s both a better singer, and better looking.

I'm sorry but Vibeke Stene was too incredible to replace. She was an even better singer than Tarja Turunen. Mariangela's voice and attitude in general don't fit Tristania at all. Just like Anette Olzon in Nightwish. Anette is a good singer, she would just be better suited in a band like The Birthday Massacre. Mariangela isn't a good singer at all. I think the coolest thing ever would have been if Vibeke joined Nightwish.

Ouch. As a singer, I can hear that Maria is really straining to hit those high notes. The old Tristania songs are going to be hell on her vocal chords.

Maria's style of singing is too similar to Cristina Scabbia's (who I adore). Tristania just sounds....weird O_o. Maybe things will be better when they actually release an album where the songs are written for Maria's voice.

I had high expectations (as not die-hard Tristania-fan but a common one) of Mary when they announced a video her singing but this doesn't sound like fitting her voice at all. Too high pitched while Mary has somewhat darker and deeper tone (which is great too!) than Vibeke. The quality isn't that good, though, I barely can hear her. I think she should dare to use her own singing style cuz it's great and they should lower songs a bit. I'm eagerly waiting for a new album cuz I know it'll be great!
