I am also a Belgian. I speak French, English and... Dutch (not German unfortunately) ! The problems we now have are due for the most part to politicians who want people to talk about them.

I've lived in Flemish Brabant for a while and I only had one issue with ONE separatist. Our country may be small but it is very strong !

I would sum up with the following : Eendracht maakt macht or l'union fait la force !

what were we thinking when we send an Elvis-imitator to the Eurvision ? I mean c'mon, one of the only Belgian countesters I liked was Urban Trad. We were second with (I think) only 1 point away from winning!

And if you send a "theme" to the Eurovision it only hits once ! You can see it real good with Urban Trad (2nd place in the finals) and Ishtar (17th place (out of 18 countesters) in the semi-finals) .
