The thing about drawings i have heard before, and i want to ask a question, im a medical student and in the subject of Human anatomy all the books of course have many pictures in it because it is a visual subject is this deemed haram?
@Kingace85 Bro, if you are a medical student you have alot to worry about besides something so small. We need more doctors in the ummah thats a much greater deal. The picture issue is a small issue which some people dispute as Haram not the majority. And those who do say it is Haram make an exception for educational purposes such as your case. Please make this ummah proud in Med school
I used to like that guy, until I watched that video. Pictures are haraem!!! Are serious? where did he get his information from. And if pictures are harem, why is he filming himself?
It is an impossible concept to compete against God, and if you believe you can compete against God it is Kufur. My understanding of drawing and sculpting that it is Haram because it is a form of arrogance and vanity to draw things in your own way or image which is an abomination as well as arrogance because it cannot even come close to the real thing. It is a distortion. Pictures are taking a still image or moving image of the Creation itself. Distorting it on photoshop is another thing. .
salaam, I want to see if you're on truth or falsehood. Hence, this question:
A far far far bigger sin is having statues and pictures, hanging, venerating past and present personalities, kings, etc. I noticed that Saudi is covered in this shirk, even in Maccah/Madina. I was really surprised; you didn't even mention it in your talk. Can you please explain why not?
If you went to a country and had pictures of the kabah, the mosque, someone saw these "pictures" or "paintings" and said "oh wow, islam is beautiful", them getting closer to Islam even if it's 1%, is haram? Okay i know what he means, he means, in essence, pictures depicting acts that can be frowned upon or are controversial. I ask you this, would we know what Gazza was up to without pictures? videos?. We all have tests in our lives and can think for ourselves when it is wrong. Salam.
Saudi arabia is 100% shariah based country..but i dont know why they have kept the photos of royal family in most of the main streets ,hotels, schools, clinics etc..those dead and alive ..is dis allowed in islam..??
@Muidstube Such Muslims who have left the Quran and never cross check hadiths against the teaching of Quran are doomed to hell.
The sad thing is that we cannot leave them alone to mind our own business cause they are intentional establishments set up to defame and demean Islam in the eyes of the non Muslim masses while simultaneously misguiding those innocent from the Ummah.
We should remember to warn people to not learn from any mullah's as such.
@Muidstube I know he is not humble and soft when he talks but pictues are Haram because Allah will tell you on the day of judgment to make this picture talk make it alive, but the video u r filming, he is moving already like how Allah made him to move, u r not making unmoveable like pictures which is haram
Brother is how about making stuff with photoshop ? like islamic themed .. U know like the name of allah and our prophet and then like design and flowers and stuff around it?
I now agree that photogtaphs are harâm alhamdulillâh - if u dont remember my comment here, then look after it... i watched small part of the ''facebook'' lecture.
@halfhausaman Assalamou 3aleikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh, Yes it is but there is a fatwa dealing with this. He speaks about it in an other lecture .
@ThePeaceBeUponHim please can you tell me the lecture, i have a person who is saying that recording him is not allowed, i want to show him this lecture. jazakallhukhair akhi
@peacefullife33 Assalamou 3aleikoum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh. It is because it could lead to a form of "whorship" like people of Noh did, wa Allahou a3lem. Inchallah I will search and put a link to a lecture dealing with this issue .
@MrAnd777 Assalamou 3aleikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh, Yes it is but there is a fatwa dealing with this. He speaks about it in an other lecture .
WHAT THE BROTHERS SAYING MAKES SO MUCH SENSE but why are you not allowed to draw humans...i DIDN'T GET THAT PART and Taking pictures of say like...Your mum, and she's passed away.... you wuna remmber her so u keep a pic of her, i that haram... plz explain?
There is an other thing with taking pictures which is that we don't have to take pictures of someone in order to remember him/her. And this is because we do not want to follow the people of Noh (AS) that eventually worship their ancestors.
@ThePeaceBeUponHim: ..salam...about what u sed... because the people of Noh (AS) worshiped their ancestors...but then there is like a lot of thing good and bad people do..like e.g. its like saying you can't use a mobile phone because Terry Jones (dude who wanted to burn the holy QURAN) uses one...do you get me? Waiting for you reply..again.
@Ms4369 well, the difference is that the people of Noh (AS) have been destroyed due to the only use of statues for the remembrance of their dead ancestors. Plus, the use of mobile phone can be good or bad, while taking pictures never has a true utility. Unless the videos for dawah, which is the only thing that ulama have allowed.
I know it's hard not to take pictures, it's a jihad an-nafs we have to do inchallah. May Allah swt facilitates us...
I dont really believe its forbidden, but photographing shouldnt be made for fun, only for memory... i have before been of the opinion its harâm but in my heart i really felt its not the case with photos.
so photos is different to pictures. i dont agree with the brother:)
@TheMuslim0 Assalamu 'aleikum wa rahmatu Allahi you can not agree with him, but for this there must be evidence ...
As may be the opinion of another scholar. Plus he said that he is a divergency on this subject so if you do not agree with the opinion of the scholar mentioned but with the opinion of another scholar's fine inshallah!
However we should just be careful not to follow the opinion of another scholar just to satisfy our passions because it is a trap of Satan, may God preserve us from
