haha and people listen to fucking hannah montana disney justin bieber shit. i wont stop 'em, but theyre dumb. but they arent gay, hell you think the gays want em.
No joke, I was 11 years old when I bought this, and because I'd never heard a song with that kind of distortion before I was convinced something was wrong with my tape. LOL
My Mom: Well, if we're going to bring it back to Tape World we better leave now because they close at 9.
Me: Well, the rest of it works so I'm not gonna worry about it. I finally let it play out into one of the best songs EVER.
@sweetprism00 this scenario cracks me up,thanks for sharing.for that i'll share a tape story...when i was in fifth grade i went into a sound warehouse & spent about 20 minutes inside trying to decide which eddie murphy tape to steal since i couldn't legally buy them. i got caught by a metal detector at the door, taken to the back room & asked to produce the merchandise & as the dude walked me out of the store to my mom's car he told me not to think about running b/c he could run faster. fail :(
@CAMERAMANJJB From the highest paid exec to the homeless... trust me when I say this, the one thing in common is we ALL tried to steal a tape, record or CD at least once.
@sweetprism00 Ha! You may be right! Thankfully, that was the last time I ever tried to steal from a record store. Back in '88-'89 I thought that those metal detectors at the door were a scam & were just there for looks & didn't think they'd really work. Boy was I wrong. They had me walk through it about 3 times to see if I was setting it off & each time was a little more humiliating as it invariably went off. I'm just glad I didn't try it the week before when I was with my aunt instead of my mom.
its awesome, cuz my mom and dad always listen to classical music and my lil sis to taylor swift and shit. and then i connect my laptop to my amp and boost NIRVANA out of it turned up to 11 and i just fucking blast their shitty music away.
@itsmedude1020 there indeed is some great classical music. Handel is great. but stuff like Mozart and shit...that just doesnt do it for me...and thats what they listen so yeh.
@MartenWesterhof Yeah, thats pretty strait but to be honest with you Ive never particularly cared for handel all that much. I'll tell you though, for a while I thought mozart was garbage because he wrote "mainstream classical" for the masses but actually when you get deeper into some of this stuff hes really good. I particularly like his quartets. Im not sure what other composers you included in with him as shit, but there are a lot of amazing composers out there from baroque to contemporary.
@itsmedude1020 yeah, i will listen to some other mozart stuff. i like the baroque best and i think handel is like the best of that so thats what i listen.
@itsmedude1020 I particularly like handel because its like the best baroque in my opinion. and i just like baroque best. and i didnt mean mozart is shit but mozart AND shit.

NOT ONLY WILL IT PAY BACK RESPECT TO HIM, IT WILL ALSO HELP NIRVANA GET TO THE TOP OF YOUTUBE AGAIN. THUMBS UP THIS COMMENT AND REPOST THIS ON ANY NIRVANA OR ANY ROCK VIDEO.
Kurdt died when I was twelve. I new of them then but became a huge fan over the years. Kurdt always said his lyrics didnt matter. I didnt understand that as a teenager. I think I do now. I put my own words places. Nirvana never fails to move me. I think if I knew EXACTLY what Kurdt was singing it might ruin it.
When I think of In Utero, the idea that comes to mind is that at this point, Kurt Cobain just had the process of songwriting down; it's just art on an entirely different level.
@herby190 what i do is this: i have a keyboard (im the drummer in my band) attached to my computer, and i listen to Pearl Jam Nirvana AIC Gruntruck etc, as i have my recording program up, and just improvise on their melodies. then go back and make changes a little
I dont think you have any idea what your talking about , Gene Simmons is the lead vocals of this band and hes still alive, Ive even seen his show on TV.
@thedirtynasty Nirvana broke up a long time ago. Unfortunately,Kurt Cobain died. He shot himself. I wish he was still alive :( . But for me,their songs are still awesome after all those years.
so much feedback on in utero...love it! kurt was the master of distortion and feedback, man i miss nirvana. noone like them, they made real music and werent dickhead people like every famous band..they were awesome and funny! RIP
I used too be a big Nirvana fan but now In Utero is the only album I can completely listen too. They`re early music bores me now especially Nevermind.
@9robin3 its on the "greatest hits" album, last song kurt ever wrote and last song nirvana ever recorded, as a 33 year old original "grunge" fan i can honestly say that if you dont consider In Utero to be a sacred text, then you truly dont appreciate pure rock "n" roll- listen to number 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11,
i dont get how music could SUCK sooo much nowadays everything sounds so boring theres not even one good band out there today all muisicians are anymore are robots controlled by the record company to make money it makes me sick so sick i dont even want to listen to the radio its a real tragedy that kids arent even exposed to good music how is kurt able to rest in peace when this is tragedy is goin on i bet hes rolling in his grave
You need to look more, there's plenty of good stuff, but you won't hear it in the radio or MTV as it was custom in the 90's. There's always been great music. It's just the media that changes. For worse.
@redtelephone100 There are good bands today and I don't mean the underground bands, there is still good mainstream bands around. Some examples would be Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Muse and some bands like Megadeth who are still making music
@redtelephone100 Dude there's still great music around just not much at all on the radio. You have to hunt for it. Unless you listen to good radio stations that is...
'radio friendly unit shifter" literally means "a song able to play on the airwaves and sell records." Kurt hated his fame, hated what he had done, and hated himself. a beautiful soul, so tortured, and so hurt that he couldn't help but do what he had to do to help himself.
this abulm i didn't like at first but then all the riffs on the album just kept getting stuck in my head now i love this album so much my mom hates it same with my dad
@Element4078 all of that happened to me, except the mom thing.....this song is just a fucking masterpiece, this brought me, and led me to the brutal death/thrash/black metal that i listen to now..and im glad i can go back and reminice on this band and enjoy it still today!
back when this albuym came out i was 14 and I got it for my friend for his Birthday and we listened to it for the first time in the car with his stuck up parents priceless
The riffs on this album are so much cooler than nevermind. Maybe I just like this album more cause of the low-fi production...but I could swear there is more. It's so dark...and...Man this album just fuckin rocks.
Happy Birthday Kurt <3
