  • these dudes must be good at playing starwars... l0lllllllllllll

  • Really nice style man.

  • How long are the staves used in this video?

  • Thats not a real staff that martial art people use, but it is a staff, good moves, like them a lot, i also use staffs, as being a martial artist , i love weapondry, swords, nunchukes, and staffs i have a 6 foot staff and 2 small 2-1/2 foot staffs for each arm.

Pai Lum Tao Kung Fu/ Chinese Martial Arts- (Kung Fu/ Tai Chi/Kenpo)

    Sidi Matt

  • @PaiLumTaoDragon this is not a staffs for fight. These staffs are used for juggling

  • It's said at least 3 times in the comments, and at the end of the video.

  • @WelcometoPatRock it might be a little late but the son name is When Shall I be Free? from shpongle

  • @jroa187 Been a fan for a while now... but cheers anyway sir ;)

  • @WelcometoPatRock i think u already know it, it was a year ago, however the name of the song is "when shall i be free" played by shpongle, the disc is nothing last, but nothing is lost

  • What is on the end of the staff, does it help with the moves and were or how could I make or buy one?

  • Some of these techniques I can actually do, but others are a bit out of my league. Others are WAY out of my league.

Nerd Moment: The staff looks almost like a Dire Mace to me...

if u guys make a tutorial it would help alot!! plz!

and how long should the staff b for a begginer?

  • Wow, this sets a new low for the already low level of comments on this post. There are staggeringly good tutorials out there. Basically everyone shown here got started with contact staff watching some of MCP's videos online. Try searching... It got you here, I'm sure it will get you somewhere else.

  • @sexxiiravegirl youtube this 11mcp11 ... also Vulcan Crew's dvd Contact Staff is a great tutorial

  • lol i mean thats no a halo... its a windmill and all the people who taught me say it is... i luv my staff and i really wanna get as gd as u but get names right!

  • just becouse you and yours call it a windmill doesn't mean thats all it's called by. You don't define the universe, get over your self.

  • We are defining the universe xD

  • and the inside of an anus.

  • if your anus fits in an entire universe oO

  • LOL

  • and everyone who taught me that told me that its a halo. there are multiple names for tricks.

Ive heard people say that its a Halo, Windmill and even Simple SNS.

  • awesome contact skills, beautiful flowing movement

i'd like to see a little more speed though and lose the whip at the end

  • thanks for the vid, i feel like having a lot to practice now, good inspirations

  • This song is gorgeous; what is it?

  • its in the credits at the end of the video

  • Did you make this staff or order it from somewhere like home of poi?

  • what country did this originate in?

  • Wow..great work.

  • I'm 12-years old trying to do contact whith a fire staff. thank you for posting this...or or would still be searching aimlessly trying to find a tutorail

  • holy crap! That's insane!!

  • Still, some of the best I've seen :) What is the name of this track in the background? I really like it.

  • You're my heroes !!!

  • This guy VS star wars kid FIGHT

  • It's hypnotic. Wonderful! So kind to do a "demo" without the fire. Just the way the staff moves is beautiful

  • damn. I need to work on my contact. Whew thats amazing. How long hve you been doing contact?

  • the song is from shpongle and it name is when shall I be free

  • thanks. I'm so freaking tired of 1 comment in 3 being "What's that song". I just want to shout something vitriolic about scanning through the older comments.

  • can u give out thoes tutorial pages???

  • No, because they aren't mine to give! (kidding)

Check out Meg's website, by googling "mcp staff". It's where you want to be for this style. Alternately, you could learn from the inspinerate tutorials, or any host of other people.

  • @seraphus ohh and also homeofpoi is a bit of a collection pot of videos to get you started

  • @raymax6 can you type m c p ?

  • whats the song called

  • thats good! Oo

do you have some tutorials or so?

I'll work with this video I think ;D

I found it amazing how smoth your actions are.

(and sorry if this questions have allredy be answered before ^^; And for the bad language maybe ;P not my motherlanguage...)

  • buen video

  • great work

  • This is golden :)

  • Impossible is Nothing

  • that guy noel is absolutely amazing! the rest of you are amazing as well :D

  • The moves are so smooth, its seem like in a dream with the music and stuff ;)

  • What roughly is the length and weight of your staff? Just curious... mine is very light and I find it difficult to do contact work.

  • most of us use 5 foot long 6061 aluminum rod stock with 3/4 inch diameter, and 1/8th or 1/16th inch wall. They then have about 4-6 feet of 4" kevlar wicking rolled on the ends, and oak dowels plugging the ends for extra weight.

  • anyone knows the name of the video´s music?

  • The song is "When Shall I Be Free" by Shpongle. It's from the album Nothing Lasts.

Hopefully this latest post will quench the deluge of messages about the song.

  • Wow just wow, These guys are really good! They make it look so easy.

  • is there any website teach to do this?

  • Yeah, if u want it, i can give some tutorials pages, caysao1 :)

  • WOW, that's amazing. Very nice :)

  • WOW

i love staff so so so much

the fluidity(that mean fluid like XD)

i been doing staaff 3 months now

but im no way neer that good

    XD

  • it looks pretty good!!!

im still practising but i think ill try this, too!!!

    5 points

  • WoW!!! ... I am Awestruck! I am going to work my way up to your excellence. You have inspired me to continue my staff work even further. Thank you.

  • that was the shit!! amazing flow and control \m/

music was pretty awsome too :D

  • hypnotic

  • VERY NICE!

  • buono il controllo,ma vorrei sapere se riuscirebbero ad applicarlo in combattimento

  • contact staff is cool but nothing beats good old open bo

  • awesome stuff

i tried this with a homemade staff, but it needs the centre of gravity perfection of a pro staff to do that stuff

    excellent

  • Not true. Having a grip and weighted ends helps, but you can do this with a broomstick if you practice enough.

  • Hey, where do you get the contact staff from? Can you order it or did you make your own. Amazing video btw.

  • What is the name of the song?

  • "when shall I be free" by shpongle

  • can they do this with any staff? cause it looks like a balloon..

  • is there a rope or something? can't see with a black background !

  • no they really do it lol i trying to get that good but its gonna be hard work

  • Damn thats awesome? I tried it with a wood bo staff but coudln't do it? Do the grips help?

  • Grips help, but wooden bo staves are completely capable of contact as is.

  • which is the name of the song?

  • respect witiwati!!

  • next time you spin him . lite him up on both ends please.. just for the effect..:O)

  • Sweet Candy!!!

  • FUCK YEA THIS IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!!

  • NICE! cool stuff :-)

  • i prefer battle over contact, but i think this is GREAT

  • GREG YOU KICK ASS!

  • Love contact, cheers for uploading.

  • Good !
