@SpazChat Yeah, it looks overloaded. The clothes won't get as clean, and the motor for the agitator has to work harder.

water level is to low for this load the turn rate for the cloths is way to slow they should turn over big time like mine does and my old whirpool does

I think it's funny how when these spin, they make the same "wooooo" sound as the old Kenmore belt drive washers (my GE does as well). I'm assuming the sound is just from the air circulation.

@bassistguy It's actually the sound the air makes as it passes over the exposed drain holes in the side of the basket. It's kind of an erie noise actually... lol

Damn. The dual action agitators haven't changed a bit since 1997! Not even for the Hydrowave with the agitator! These don't have the extra good rollover which the Kenmore and Whirlpool ones have, but the rollover is pretty good. But beware, some GE washers are shit!

Call an appliance repair person. Make sure it is from a reputable company so they don't rip you off.

I wasn't happy with mine. Mine was under the Hotpoint brand and I didn't even get 3 years from my washer. GE made washers break down quite frequently. If you see how much the tub shakes back & forth, the brake & clutch will breakdown on this rather quickly. After the repairmen being unable to repair the system, replacing the entire tub & transmission was cost prohibitive. I replaced my Hotpoint for a Frigidaire front loader, and has lasted over 10 years now. I'll never own GE washers again.

I would have used a much higher water level though. And I wonder, why are almost all manufacturers except Speed Queen, using the dual action agitator and the faster, shorter agitation stroke?

one piece agitators are better at cleaning. these 2 pieces just try to simulate rollover.

Yes it's the new hydrowave.... It's really quiet. But I wonder if it really washes the clothes all that good since it dosent move as fast as some others I have seen including yours.

my ge dosent go that fast, it moves really slow..like at 2:30 of this video..mine stays like that all the time. do you think something is wrong with it? its brand new i bought it like two months ago 2009

we had a GE very similar to this although ours was a basic model it had 3 switches one for the cycle one for the temperature and one for the load size it would have been the cousin to this washer with its lights and blah it died!!!
