I am moved by the message of this song and video , that a hymn from the treasure of old hymns can still touch and move the hearts of its; hearers is a real testament of how the Spirit is still moving in these blessed hymns. I am glad for that, I love the new gospel songs, but I love the older hymns as well, it is like pulling treasures old and new and merging them together to complete the purpose - praise and glory to the God and Father of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord - I n the father r one

I I remember Dave Boyer visiting Florida Bible College in 1975 and I bought his tape. It was this song that I replayed the most; it was very powerful in my life. I still have the tape!

Amen. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the only way to atone for your sins. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice because He lived a life without sin and died for you. He paid the price for our sins. It is a free gift of salvation that God offers to you. Will you accept it? I pray that you find truth in your life. Jesus is the only truth that anyone needs. I am a Christian but I know Christians that become self righteous in their own salvation. I find it hard to deal with people like that. They think they are sinless or that they are forgiven but they are judgemental towards others and it will actually stop someone from coming to Christ. How does someone deal with that? We can pray for them, and God will make things more clear to them, and then they have a choice, to look to Jesus and receive his love and become more like Him, or stay the same and get worse and cause more damage to themselves and others. Chances are they may have to learn things the hard way, as I did for the past 20 years, being blind to being that way. Sometimes we can be a friend and point out the problem in love if they are open enough.

I saw him in person at a church in Las Vegas. He was a nightclub singer, Joey Stevens. He was on the verge of suicide when he got saved. This is the best song I've heard him sing.

What a special blessing this video is. I have not heard Dave Boyer in years and you put it all together in such a wonderful way. Thank God for the old songs. This one makes me weep. I have been a Christian since 1973 and sometimes things can get old hat so to speak, but songs and messages like this take me back to the cross and the ONE who died for me and it is so good to be reminded of my beginnings.
