I'm not normally interested in celebrities, but I've been tasked with a school project involving his recent "meltdown" and I have to say, the more I watch his old interviews, the more I like and sympathize with him. In earlier interviews (Red Dawn and Platoon), he hardly made eye contact with his hosts. Just an observation.

What do you mean exactly by the eye contact?He shy?=) Lots of people indeed shut down their shyness..with maybe drugs and alcohol. I know lot of people who get their secure with drugs. its not nice but its true.
@JormaX Could be. I can't pretend to know what's really going on, but I think a lot of it has to do with his surroundings. That's not to negate blame on his part or anything. I feel bad for him though; he needs help and people are just laughing at him. (Admittedly some of the jokes were pretty funny though)
