  • OK i am sold. I am going to get it. it looks really good

  • Besides being 3D and 5.1 surround, is it also a 360 degree view? Especially for FPSs?

  • We have to be nice to the other kids on the block too - and besides, we can't punish them for buying something other than a PS3 ;-)

  • wtf sony you can put it in a xbox damn that makes me less of a fan

  • I rly want one BUT ITS 800$ OMFG NUUUU

  • where do i get it

  • Do u need a 3d tv ? I got a sony 32 " hdtv will it work

  • @DrInZecTuZ1989 Hi! You don't need a TV at all..! The 3D viewer connects to DVD players, Computers or Games Consoles (or any other device that has an HDMI out connector). The signal is passed to the 3D viewer and that's how you watch whatever you want (or play games). If you want to view anything in 3D (movies or games), you need to ensure that you have a 3D DVD player, computer (like the VAIO F-series) or games console (like the PS3).

  • Do i need hdmi 1.4 to be able to watch 3D or can i use hdmi 1.3 ? also what hdmi splitter can i use that support hdmi 1.4 ?

Thanks for a great produkt, now it just needs to be avaible so i can get one :-)

  • seems like im going to get eaten by it

  • may i ask if i plug this into my PC how do i get 3D gaming works??? just by plugging this in and the glasses have an option to turn the game 3D???

  • @darnops Unfortunately it's not that simple. In order to play 3D games, you must have a 3D compatible DVD player (or 3D output device). This sends the 3D signal to the 3D headset, that then plays the games (or movies) in 3D. If you do not have a 3D computer, DVD or games console, then the headset will only play the content in 2D (as you would normally see it). Bravia TV's have the "Simulated 3D" option - which turns 2D into 3D - the headset does not support that feature.

  • @SonyHowTo I can directly plug this into my PS3 and enjoy 3D gaming experience without the need of a 3D monitor right??? if it can work this way i will definitely get one myself.

  • @SonyHowTo LMAO, 3D xompatible DVD player.

The only thing you would need for 3D gaming on your PC is a 3D compatible graphics card and the proper drivers. There are enough fraphics cards that support 3D, see nVidia nVision, but the driver part is the problem. Graphics drivers have to support the HMZ-T1.

  • @SonyHowTo can we use nvidia drivers to produce 3d image(games, vides, images) output it trought a hdmi to a personal viewer insted of useing 3d screen and nvidia shutter glases, right?

  • You state at the end of the video that you get a "full high definition experience".

I'm afraid that's not true as 1280x720 or 720p is not classed as full HD.

  • how about the audio(onboard audio device) when plug to pc?

  • Quick question, and it's a decider of if I buy one. Will this work on pc with tridef or DDD 3d drivers so I can play DX7-10 games in stereographic 3d? I have an older hmd which has worked great for me, but this one has better specs.

  • You relase a great product no one can buy, here's a CRAZY business concept, make this device avaliable all around the world for people to buy soi you make more money

  • Does it come with fries?

  • @tapiocco Well - it certainly 'super-sizes' everything..!

  • I phoned Sony up today and they apologised that they do not have any stock and to check back in 3 week to be able to pre order and then wait another three weeks :(

  • Where In can I buy one from in the uk I cannot find any retailers that sell them and phoned Sony up and they said we are sorry but you can not buy one and only per order one in 3 week time and to ensure in a further two week delivery , this is just not good enough I wanted one now don't you think this is very poor Sony salesmanship ? And can you tell me where I can buy one now

  • @voodoobean1973 Hi, thanks for your message - You can buy these either online or by going to a Sony Store. You can find a Sony store near to you by going to the Sony UK website.

  • do you need a 3d tv fo the 3d part or does it convert 2d to 3d?

  • @MyVideogameplayer Hi, thanks for the question! The headset does not "simulate 3D" like Bravia TV's do so you you would see a 2D game or movie in 2D through the headset when being played back. If you have a 3D originating device, like a PS3 or 3D BluRay DVD player etc, then the 3D headset will play back the games or movies in 3D. 2D games and movies are equally amazing through the headset, but 3D of course rocks!

  • They are the best 2d/3d HMD you can get for the money. Once I got the hang of fitting mine it was a keeper. The sound from the headphones sounds very good enough for me but...I wanted this mainly for games and games require onlne chat. What were they thinking without including a chat solution? Well I wanted my Tritton 5.1 or Sony PS3 Wireless to have HQ voice chat control back so I modded my set and removed the stock headphones. Not to difficult if you have the knack.

  • Finally something to watch TV in bed. I've always hated to sit or bend my neck in order to watch some TV comfortably. I just wish I could use my own headphones with these.

  • could i play minecraft in 3d with this?!?!?!

  • I have one and I love love love it. If I am gonna watch tv or a movie by myself, it's gonna be on this thing. You get completly lost into the movie when you are wearing this. It cuts out all the distractions of the world around you. And I havn't even watched anything in 3d yet, only 2d so far.

  • I know You can test them at Sony stores but can you test them at uk Sony stores?

  • ya this device is cool it looks good (as far as the picture quality goes) lmao buuuuut, really it's junk. it feels very cheap, the earphones are like their from the old walkman, their %100 made of plastic, and they just are very cheaply made imo they are not ready and sony made them so cheaply because they didnt want to dig a hole they could not get out of in case it did not sell well better luck next time sony mine are going back tomorrow........boob

  • I really want this thing.. And I might actually get one.. I was thinking of getting the second generation of this, but if everyone waits for the second gen of this, there's going to be no second gen. I want to use this in simulators like iRacing/DCS/Live For Speed etc in combination with a TrackIR. As close to VR as you'll get for quite some time, I think. Probably also the quickest way to get motion sickness ;)

  • Thanks for this video, very informative.
