I use the Crowquill pens to reproduce Michelangelo's drawings on Bristol Journals. They're clean and help your hand create straight and smooth lines. Maybe because it doesn't glide easily like the ballpoint pens, but it keeps your drawings accurate in case your hands move by accident (happens to me sometimes). Where did you get that wooden holder? I like it.
I love those pens. It doesn't fit the way you draw tho. You have to always drag the pen and you cant use it backwards if that makes sense. they are really cool for line variation but they take a lot longer.

Have to agree with MrGimpyLoser--vellum not the best.
Great review! I'm not n expert with crowquill pens but I know a good majority you can't use it backwards.
