Lacey is SO cute!!! I was just dying watching her! I hope my baby comes out just like that!!! Question--do you use a special detergent with your cloth nappies?
I love watching Lacey over and over in this video. She is sooooo precious!!! Whenever I don't feel well, I watch this video and Lacey makes me smile at how cute she is! :) I am looking forward to giving birth to our baby girl, anytime now :)
Great informative video Grace. Quick question, what is your system for washing cloth nappies (i.e. do u soak them, if so what in? do you put them through the wash twice?). Any additional information on this would be fantastic. Thanks.
I could do a video on my wash routine if you like? I don't soak them, i dry pail them but i do wash everyday or every second day. when i go to wash them i put them on a cold rinse cycle then a warm-hot long wash cycle with half the recommended amount of detergent. i line dry unless its winter and then i warm dry in the dryer.
Lacey is Gorgeous Grace!!! :) I love the wipes idea and how you folded them is awesome! I know you got this idea from someone else but to see it in practise is awesome and its practical rather than buying wipes all the time (the disposable kind)
I love the way Lacey talks. It is so cute! And I didn't realise the wipes were so cheap. I am actually considering going and getting some... We go through wipes so fast. Especially when Peter changes the nappies lol. How do you wash them? Do you rinse or soak before you put them in the wash?
@chatabox0girl If you are just washing wipes, I would put them in a bucket of water and at the end of the day or two days, wash them. Did that make sense?
@TheGraceDiaries Yeah it does. I also use the old fold style cloth nappies as burp-rags (we have a puker) so I could wash them in with that. Hmm... now I just need to get my butt down to Kmart! Where did you get the soulition stuff from that you orginally used? As I don't think plain water is going to do the trick with Hunter.
Lacey is ADORABLE in this video! Love her hair and talking!!!!!! Love the wipe folding!! I'd like to do cloth wipes but what do you do with the poop on them when you are done? Do you rinse them out and then lay them to dry? I get so much poop on my wipes. What about cloth diapers..do you rinse the poop out or flip it into the toilet? I'd love to cloth diaper too next time around but still a little hesitant about it. I'd have to run downstairs after each diaper and scrub and with two kids? Eek
I empty as much as i can into the toilet (not with nb poo though) and i wash everyday and it all comes out in the machine. sometimes when Felicity has exploded I rinse it in the sink or just put it in a bucket of water till its wash time. I must admist that the wipes don't get much poo on them though, Lacey isn't very messy :)
Awesome video! I love Jordan's videos too. We're having our first in a couple of weeks and I was looking for some easy ways to incorporate cloth wipes into our CDing regimen. Thanks for sharing!
Spray bottle is a great idea! Maybe I am being lazy, but going to get warm water for cloth wipes always seems like a big inconvenience! Although we used to do that when the bab was very little.
That is such a good idea! I just started cloth diapering this past wek and am trying to work out our system that we are going to do here. by the way, Lacy's hair looks ADORABLE and she is soooo cute and talkative!
Lacie is ADORABLE and THANKS SO MUCH for posting this! I've been thinking about switching to cloth wipes (we already cloth diaper) - super easy folding and love the water bottle idea :)
you can download directly on your mac from imovie you just press the little button on the left that has a camera, just in case your camera keeps dying. Thanks for the wipes folding, that is great and so helpful
Thanks for that, I did notice that, I just have to plug the camera into the wall from now on. I found it so helpful watching Jordan do it that I just had to share it with you guys
Lacey is SO adorable! She is so sweet and has the sweetest voice ever! I have wanted to start using cloth wipes for sometime. I spend so much on disposable. My son also has chronic diarrhea and disposable always irritate my son's diaper rash covered bum. What do you do when you go out? Do you just take a small container for the cloth wipes with the spray bottle when you go out?
omg she is too cute
