I'm clipped in. I use a shimano PD-M647 pedals with the SH-MP66L shoes. Its a sweet setup and its a good shoe for people with wide big feet. The cleat can be adjusted away from the crank arm as well as front and back. It also has ankle protection and they work good when I have to hike my bike.
