  • Ummm...........I don't hear anything and my speakers are working.........what gives??

  • They can't recreate actor, so the FXs of scenes with actors, like old effects over the actorsa, was just alterated by adding new lightings over the old effect.

  • They actually use the original negatives, before the original FX was added.

  • Sounds strange. George Lucas didn't had the original negative for FX before the effects were added. I remamber a article about Star Wars HD restoration, commenting that the copy process used for make effect in 1977 had added grain and few softness into image, and that was target in digital enhancement, and to present "hiccups" in image quality when a FX Scene appears, like Luke lighting a light saber. Star Trek remastered seens to have many "transporter beam" effects added over the old one.

  • @jerryaltman That's not a transporter.

  • The phaser lighting up the underneath is a nice touch.

  • i think they shouldve made the shields do the translucent bubble thing that we see in other series...

  • You're missing the point of doing this.

  • whats the point?

  • Its about bringing new life into the original show, and "completing" the visuals based on what Gene and the creative team would have liked to do, or been able to do had they had more money. Its not about making this more compatible with the new shows. If anything we should alter the new shows to conform to what the old shows setup.

  • yep, i agree

  • ALWAYS COOL STUFF!
