i would like to clock it to 2.5-2.6 ghz

what should i put under fsb frequency,cpu ratio and cpu voltage?

What cooler did you use? Mine only goes up to 2.42GHz and the temps are 50-57 under load and around 38 when idle. I have a very basic thermaltake cooler on mine.

when i try to get into my motherboards bios(ecs iris 8 nvidia) i hit the button to get into setup but the bios is not like the normal bios. the bios has a differnet color background, and i do not have the options to tweak anything. can anybody help me out

i'd imagine you all have after market cooling? heatsink fan? i have stock fan right now, and haven't tried to oc my amd 4200+, I got my amd 5000+ to 3.0ghz on stock cooling, no stress test or gaming done just used it for a day and it didnt' crash, i have my phenom 9950be oc'd to 3.0 stable. but this 4200+ aftermarket cooling? or stock fan, i'm looking to go to roughly 2.5-2.6ghz with this cpu.

ok now i'm at 2,7ghz@1,52v and that's the final my cpu can't do any better course it's so old model if i try to increase fsb it just gives BSOD or comes very unstable but anyway i'm happy with this course my super pi 1m time came down with 10secs and is now 32sec :D and it's max 49c at 20min stress

how much volts are you giving the cpu now.

whats the internal clock?

run orthos once you overclock more to see if its stable.

that should go 3ghz.

i cant give mine more volts my mo bo sucks.

in the bios there should be vcore for the voltage.

cpu fsb for the internal clock.

google some amd bios overclocking.

its easy.

once you get into the bios you will have fun.

overclock it 200mhz 4-9mhz at one time.

eventually when you reboot the monitor wont come on. thats when you give it more volts.
