  • You guys r complaining about the pathetic us metal scene. European metal+ jRock is right up there with this glorious cd. Check out bands like Angra and their CDs Angels Cry, Holy Land, Fireworks and Temple of Hate. Vanden Plas CD Christ 0. X-Japans Art of Life live from 1993. Helloweens CD like Keeper of the Seven Keys w Michael Kiske.

  • I love that riff so much.

  • Long Beach, CA. February, 1992. Awesome show!!!

  • Queensryche's live shows were note perfect. Believe it. I went to see this show twice, once in Sacramento, then San Francisco. In SF I was very close to the stage and it was the best concert I ever had, or ever will have the opportunity and privilege to attend. It was mesmerizing, a phenomenal, monumental life changing event. It was crushing when Chris DeGarmo left. Queensryche are the rarest combination of intensity, intelligence, professionalism, skill, and talent.

  • MINDCRIME

  • Once upon a time, not too long ago, talented musicians got together and formed these things called "bands". Today, however, most bands have gone away, to be replaced by pre-pubescent teenagers that squeal and yell into the microphone, exhibiting no talent whatsoever. How i long for the days of old...

  • 20 years later this I'm still rocking out to these fuckers. I love this album, one of, if not the greatest album of all time for me.

  • God do bands today suck....they just suck so much in comparison.

  • @TheTruthfulAsshole I'm going to start a band and change all that, right after I learn how to play that guitar I got a year ago.

  • @cubby3o5 PLEASE!!!!

  • @TheTruthfulAsshole Well I just heard some songs from Accept's newest album "Blood of the Nations" and it's the best thing Metal album I've heard since the 90's. So I know it's still possible to make a mind blowing album. Look up Teutonic Terror.

  • I saw these guys in Cambridge UK back in 08... they played the entire mind crime series....one of the best concerts that I have been two hands down!

  • I toured with this band being scotty's rodey for 3 years just to damn good is my thought of beliefs... Executive Chef Todd. S. Huber from las vegas nevada of course...

  • I have tickets to see them soon, but i've been looking at some recent setlists and i haven't seen songs from this album, do they still play these hits from mindcrime anymore? it'd be disappointing if they didn't

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHH QR very good ALBUM in year1988 and 1990 the best

cds GR esta banda muy buena pero no es tan popular no entiendo porque no fueron famosos en los 90 si se asemejaban al grunge y al rock alternativo 90

  • a song from one of the best albums ever written ...

  • FUCKING LOVE IT, PERIOD.

  • I'm hearing this song for the first time in two years. Damn, it's great.

  • These guys were sooooooooo gooooooooooooood!!!!

  • 4 people are deaf.

  • Man Eddie Jackson just wailing on that bass!...I've always felt he was an underrated component to the 'Ryche

  • Ed's the best!

  • I'm so in love with Ed!

  • this is really good music....!!

  • A progresszív metál történelemkönyve e nóta címével egyező album megalkotásával kinyitódott és be is záródott ,ahhoz hozzáférése más zenekarnak nincs!

  • I never get tired of listening to this whole album!

  • Great concert and great band! Rock on!

  • These guys had such an incredibly tight sound. One of my favorite groups and awesome album!

  • The whole album is solid fucking GOLD.

  • Love it! Those mf'r's get off!!

  • YEAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

  • One day,One day I will grow my hair out! I take this band, this genre of music such as Fates Warning,Starbreaker,Pagan's Mind,Dream Theater&etc very closely to heart&one day I'll join their stare/&look! Im just not in the right city right now!

  • Best band, bast album EVER!!!! The Ryche RULES!!!!!

  • BEST BAND! BEST ALBUM! BEST SONG! (in my opinion)

  • I'll bet Geoff needed a crowbar to get those pants on lol.

This is a hell of a performance! One of the BEST albums of all time, without

    a doubt.

  • Oh..My..Dear..God ! Eddie Jackson you are killing me ! :-D

  • The drums on this (which are the same drums Scott Rockenfield played on Empire) are CRUSHING!!!! Scott Rockenfield is DE man when it comes to good sounding drums. You can't forget Geoff Tate's piercing vocals on this either.

  • This is so epic...

  • What an awesome band, unreal singer. Geoff and Ann Wilson both are from Washington and both are the best at what they do..must be something in the water there!

  • But the real hero is Eddie Jackson - think this or Eyes of a Stranger with another bass tracks! Impossible, I say. Ok, they're all amazing!!!

  • @The7thsonof7thson Absolutely!!!!

  • If you havent seen them at the MYTH nightclub in minnesota ya havent seen shiiit!!!!! 3.500 people great sound !!!

  • clowns been listening to hem ur mama was changing ur shorts lmao

  • "We're an underground revolution working overtime"

    Love it!!

  • This was by far the best performance of Operation Mindcrime ever! The last couple tours where they played it in it's entirety they added different quirky shit that I just didn't care for. If it's not broke, Don't fix it!!

  • the bass line is fucking amazing

  • I've watched this show 100+ times. And no matter how many times i watch it, it still leaves me in awe exactly like it did the first time i watched it.

  • 1 of the greatest song of queensryche

  • This is one of the best songs in recording history. This live performance does it immense justice. fantastic upload.

  • Just saw the "Queensryche Cabaret" last night, here in Vegas, and I gotta say..I miss the days when they were just a band.......

  • @trevLV ya i saw them in new orlean's 2 months ago...love the band but the caberet shit was a joke.

  • I was at this show, it was taped in Madison, WI - at the begining you can hear Geoff say Madison, are you ready for operation mindcrime? Best live band ever.

  • I remember now, I remember how it started.

    I can't remember yesterday,

I just remember doing what they told me, told me,, TOLD ME.

    MindCrime - 1987

rduquet - aka - Walter White - I'm Breaking Bad!

  • Quite simply the best concert video ever... in my opinion.

  • chris degarmo was THE main writer of queensryche's best material musically, not to mention the fact hes a great lead guitarist and possibly the best backing singer in metal history. Queensryches ISNT queensryche without degarmo, just listen to those vocal harmonies.

  • good sound.Great band-Great song 5/5

  • wat an album unbelievable the best ever made scott rockenfield the best drummer in the world!!

  • saw them in vegas they opened for judas priest in 07 i think

  • Concert was recorded live in WI as mentioned, three dates, LaCross, Madison, and Milwaukee. My wife and I were at the Milwaukee date and later bought the VHS of the concert. These guys were incredible live.

  • I could just imagine what this band would have been if Chris Degarmo was still around,it's too bad Queensryche's new material is the worst i've ever heard them produce.Queensryche needs to go back to where they started from and keep the theater/imagery bullcrap out of it.Sorry to say but they are sounding more like Jeff Tates horrible solo material.

  • @miachevydude

I have to agree. Geoff & Chris were amazing together.

  • when u put ed bass that was awesome, only if we could of unzipped his pants at that part mmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Geoff Tate....man what a voice back then. Really this whole group was so talented, tight.

  • Degarmo was the shit!

  • I agree, the 90s were the decade, good music, internet, jobs. And I was at this concert at the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, BEST concert ever, and I still talk about it. Thanks for posting.

  • Damn, the early '90's were the shit. Such great memories. I watch this, and I'm 22, again, seeing these guys open up for Metellica. What a show!

  • not the same without chris

  • so epic

    <3 queensryche

  • best drummer of all time!!

  • this is the true prog-metal! Wonderful band and wonderful album!

  • greatdrummer great lead singer great guitar duo good bassist great album

    LONG LIVE THE RYCHE!!!!

  • Saw this tour when it hit Southern California.

Still one of the best I've ever seen. Thnx for posting.

  • haha 1:05

  • It's like a comic book on tape.

  • rockenfield has always been the man, i love his style in this album, no stupid dickery. the double kicks at 3:45 are so simple but so effective

  • Agree with u man, Rockenfield is a legend! Ryche 4 ever <3

  • @Flaggius hes my uncle... i think im lucky

  • @jcage

Hell yes - and the way that he locks with Eddie Jackson makes it all that much more powerful. Met Scott back in '95 - super cool dude.

  • Best concept album of all time. Best music, lyric, and vocals... BEST FUCKIN" ALBUM!

Dis is da shit, bare none, second to none

  • @SilverByte69 I do love this album (in particular this song), but have you ever heard "Nostradamus" by Judas Priest? That is the best concept album ever, in my humble opinion.

  • @SilverByte69

couldn't agree more. I have no idea how many times I've listened to this masterpiece. It's a timeless classic

  • Jesus christ what a performance ! 5 incredible musicians makes magic. Operation mindcrime is a sure thing on my personal top-10 albums of all time.

  • One of the best recording jobs of any band. Mindcrime was the top of the charts and in my opinion still is one of the best. The whole album was fantastic. Chris should have never left. He was great. Queensryche has so many great tunes. Empire carried on where Mindcrime left off.

  • It doesn't ge'it any better... takes me way back to those days.

    Thanks again for posting

  • that's just great....

  • Cool!

  • Geoff's vocals sound kind of half assed on this performance :( But this is a VERY hard song vocally.

  • I can never get sick of this album. Especially live, the bass and the drums are great on this.

    And welcome....TO OPERATION MINDCRIIIIME!

  • To the previous comment - absolutely - one of the best Rock and roll albums of all time. Period!

  • OPMC was/is one of the best fuckin' albums/pieces of work ever. argue it if you wish, but I will not relent. It was also one of the most underrated albums of all time. I saw this tour and it fuckin' blew my ass into never never land. Seen them four years ago and they were absolutely flawless, but I will take the early years any day... Peace Brothers and Sistas!

  • The REAL days of rock & roll!!

Most of the music today SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even Queensryche's new cd is NOT going to make it in my disc collection.

  • Perfect! Such a great exhibition!

    I would have been there!!!

  • no dude, it is live .You probably just don't think so because they're too fuckin good live. One of the best live bands ever. Trust me, this IS live. It's quite different from the studio version if you listen carefully. And I ripped it of from the Operation: LIVEcrime DVD, which is a live concert recorded in 1991 in Wisconsin.

  • Yes, unlike most pop rubbish, Queensryche can actually cut it live without any trickery. So disappointed they didn't play any Mindcrime last night. Wait, I have this DVD. What am I watching it on youtube for? On second thoughts, who cares? QUEENSRYCHE baby, yeah!

  • to be fair to chayx69 the way the audio was used for this DVD it did not sound very live as they was very little crowd noise on this DVD. Even live performances released are taken back to the studio, tweeked, levers lifted up and down etc. Not good editing as it sounded like it had been tweeked in the studio even though as you say IT'S LIVE

  • @Flaggius i live where this was recorded=)

  • @Flaggius

And this concert is definitely not one of the best of the Empire tour. The band was even greater than this back then.

  • @Flaggius

I think this is one of the BEST LIVE in time and space.

  • @Flaggius I'm positive it's live as well. I saw them do the entire Mindcrime album live and it was mind blowing. I've never seen a band play live and sound so close to the album without lip syncing it. Tate was impressive as hell, as was everyone else in this band. Looking back this many years later I am glad I got to see it live. Thanks for posting this!

  • cool

  • its most definitely live. ive seen them live 3 times now. they are without a doubt the best band i have ever seen live

  • @chayx69

First: They did this on the Operation LIVECrime DVD.

Second: It's not the video. I've watched the real video.

  • @chayx69 it is live, I've had the pleasure of seeing them perform this entire album live many times at several venues around the country, they are just that damn good.

Not too many bands can pull off a show and sound as good live as they do on the album, Queensryche is one of those few bands that can pull it off.

  • damn i wish i had that kit it was so awesome with all the chains with the cymbals

  • yah Dude... most of the band's kits of today are whimpy and LAME!! What is this one bass and two toms crap of today???

    LAME!!!!

The 80's and 90's is when there were REAL bands rocking!!

I HATE where music is today!!!

  • Great quality videos of a GREAT concert. Do you have Needle Lies from this set?
