i love your pond. In bushcraft a pretty surefire way to catch fish is to get a pole and attach some dark coloured wire in a noose on the end of it. then you wait for the fish to swim to the bait. get the noose around the fish and pull the pole out of the water. you catapult the fish onto shore where you can go, catch it, then kill it instantly or chuck it back.
