I saw John Bunnell on a COPS episode where he and his men of the Multonomah County Sheriff's Dept. have had a search warrant of a marijuana grow opperation, and they confiscated everything at that person house: their weed, their guns, and their car. He certainly did the right thing. I'm going to be the same as any police officer, when I join the law enforcement field.

Bunnel was never a real Sheriff. His buddy gave him the job when he retired. The the voters kicked him out of the job. A real Sheriff must be elected. I know what i am taking about since I worked in the same Sheriffs Office

i lived in portland back then. did he get busted for drug use? there were many stories about drugs & orgies with hookers. i seem to remember alot of officers were investigated & fired at that time.

No, he didn't get busted. The Sheriff retired right before his term was up and then slid Bunnell into his office right under the noses of the voters. Once it was time to vote Bunnell ran for Sheriff but was not elected. He should never use the title he never earned. He was only an Acting Sheriff and the voters took that from him. He should be retired DEPUTY Bunnell even if his buddies got him a sweetheart deal and let him retire in that rank. Dirty politics, dirty cops.
