  • 1:47 was that MVP with the cap on?

  • ST_SUPERSTAR lol

  • @tydougandrene lol and now Artosis keeps hating on him in SC2.

  • well.. obviously this was completely off.

  • obviously u are the biggest sc2 pro groupie.

  • I just felt my groin shiver. What does that mean?

  • NO PROBLEM, ANYTIME.

  • the camera is SOOOO shaky at the start... but i think i saw kwanroll? is that him? why is he all by himself? probs coz he got traded to SKT1, but still...

  • "the way he did beat flash he doesn't deserve it" rofl wtf??? he played the game to win and he won.. maybe flash should have done the same

  • 0:20

    SPECIAL FORCE!!!!!

  • Just curious to know how hard it is to learn Korean? Seeing as Artosis have been living there for a while you'd think he'd try to learn the local laguage.

  • go july zerg

  • flash : "oh fk jaedong's watching the game... i must show him that i suck. Look jaedong, ling rush can kill me =D"

*next week on MSL, Jaedong: "FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • what is he doing at 3:55 to 4:01 ? O_o

  • @NeonztaH This interview was done before breakfast.

  • @SCForAll roflllllllllllllllllllll!!!

  • Fuck SC2

    BW forever

  • Flash was doing greedy builds and got caught. He deserved to lose.

  • @JayDay111 nah, he was trying out all kinds of playstyle against Ze Marsian Effort, its rare to see flash use so many vultures and other mech builds inefficiently, i think he was testing fantasy-seungsu's strategy, .little did he know it's not as efficient.

  • If this is the last osl i really hope flash does win it since it would be such an epic final note to go out on. and why doesn't artosis like that effort won the last one anyways? Nice to hear some reassurance that the osl will go on in one form or another, thanks for the interview artosis.

  • god I hate effort, but he earned his spot.

  • @Prometheus4096 sighhhhhhhh im trying to be optimistic you are ruining it lol

  • Great work, really cool to see progamers just sitting around. And the interview was cool, I woukd like to see more of that kinda thing

  • If OSL switches to SC2 I will go down to Korea and kill everyone involved. SC2 is garbage compared to Brood War. I feel sick every time I watch an SC2 video, I always hope it will get better but it never does. Brood War and SC2 are two different games, there should be two separate tournaments, if it comes to that. SC2 Gameplay, unit design, unit movement, unit abilities, among other aspects are all significantly inferior to Broodwar. It is just a disgustingly bad game in comparison to Broodwar.

  • @mognite

-I dont think SC2 is a bad game at all, it is really really good. But SCI has a better meta game. SC2 has been simplefide which makes it less overewhelming for ur average dude. Which is good and bad, it makes E-sports more accessable in thw est but i think it will be bad in kor because the game may come the limiting factor to skill rather than the player. SC2 will get better, i mea n SCI had like 12 yrs to get this good its just the SC2 may have fundermental issues holding it back

  • @Pigzyf5 I agree with all your points, except I would disagree with assessment that SC2 is a "really really good" game. It is a decent game all things considered, but it may be too early to say exactly (although I don't think there is a chance of it coming close to BW in its current state). Yes the game may likely have fundamental issues that hold it back, regardless of other factors, and yes the game is simplified, which may make it more accessible in the East, -

  • @mognite

I agree that BW is a much better game, i hated SCII at first and never thought i would play it much. But when i started to play it somehow all its many many many falts seemed to wash out. I doubt this will be the case for progammers though. I hope the OSL and MSL stays as SCI. I still love watchin BW

  • @Pigzyf5 however this simplicity may negatively impact the game's longevity, and ultimately its success in the West** as well as in Korea. One of the reasons BW is so successful as a competitive game and an interesting spectator game is the extremely high difficulty and ceiling for skill, which is easily observable in terms of strategic choices, micro, among others. SC2 has lowered the skill ceiling, made blind countering/strategic choices more optimal, lowered micro requirement,

  • @mognite also, there's no such thing to ceiling skills. if any of you people have seen BWAPI, ulll know that although players such as Flash JAEDONG and myself *haha* are highly skilled, they never reached that limit to even simplest micro. and not to mention with the new numbering system player will be easier to multitask, so we will likely see 3 lines of harrassment at the same time.

Trust me as long as SCII start with those tricky gliches, SCII will overcome, might not b better but def greater

  • @x3azn4 "ceiling" refers to the inherently higher mechanical and strategic requirements of BW in relation to SC2, whether or not anyone reaches the "ceiling" is not really relevant. Its debatable which game will be greater, because that is a subjective word, what has been established is that SC2 has lower micro requirements for one, among others.

  • @mognite u have a good point, but sc2 also simplified micro skills such that u dont have to click to check unit hp, so in a sense micro is now universal, and although it lowers micro requirement, now the game actually requires everyone to micro more! and less apm will be spent on workers, which is more efficiency to apm anyway.

  • @x3azn4 I also think that, SC 2 due to micro being less essential, will more and more evolve around massive multitasking and it will be very intense and action packed. Very good post there. This whole macro up a one control group army and "a"-move it in is already a dying playstyle in the beta. Look at LiquidTLO's ZvP for example where he does constant speedling pressure with different control groups. It's unbelievably enterteaininf to watch.

  • @mognite This is a horrible argument because the difficulty for BW lies chiefly with the control of the game. SC2 improved the control and AI so that more things are done automatically and it's much easier to achieve your goal. This is NOT A BAD THING. On what planet does difficult control make for a better game? The other source of difficulty is from the advanced metagame, but how can you compare the metagame of brood war to that of sc2 which hasn't even been out for half a year?

  • @Pigzyf5 essentially, many/all the fundamental aspects that made BW such an enjoyable experience have been significantly reduced. I continually hear good things about the game, but when I watch it, its like looking at SC BW except for 10 year old kids, in 3D, and with more colourful units. I'm not even a fan of the graphics, I actually prefer the crisper style of BW-where you can actually see individual units, but the most meaningful comment is the inferior gameplay.

  • @Pigzyf5 u missing some key elements of this new game we are talking about.

all of the above people seem to miss out on some of the key elements of the game.

BW got interesting often because of some of the unintended methods of glitching the game, for example, pylon prison, pylon block mineral, mutalisk gather whip, squeeze army through mineral. a lot of these we wont c in SCII, what we might see in the future we don't know.

  • @mognite lol what? SC2 is much more tightly nicked in terms of unit design. Look at how many useless units/abilities/structures there are in BW. You're completely ignorant.

  • @SolidSnakeRules I have got to agree with you here. Its quite transparent to anyone, new or veteran, that SC2 has superior "polishment". Making a game "better" by making it more frustrating and awkward for a player to interact with the (sprite) units because the engine and software from that era were simply lacking? Meh..

I can however understand that this lack of polished-ness can make it harder for new people to learn and easier for veteran players to find a niche and exploit it.

  • why would osl end?

  • hope sc goes on blizzard in charge of sc2 pro scene is a bad idea they are horrible for coverage and community... and if you dont agree with me look at it this way kespa may be hard on the players but they have better coverage and tournaments than blizzard does one thing better blizzard does 'pamper' i guess you can say the players

  • I always wonder if Savior's OSL champion title is still there, given that he's banned by Kespa and has all of his titles revoked.

  • wow awesome interview.

  • 3:54 eating some bogeys

  • This never appeared in my subscription box, how annoying

  • @ManusCelerDei same :<

  • @ManusCelerDei It appeared late for me, maybe it was set to private?
