the last of the great tag teams was after edge and christian split in the invasion, when the dudley boyz left and went to TNA, and when both jeff and matt split up
i think austin was the best wwf star and his matches and rivalrys were memorable. i know hhh gets slated but if it wasnt for hhh then austin wouldnt of had such a good rivalry attitude. the most awesome era was the attitude era. and lets face it austin, hhh and taker ruled it
D-X were so entertaining when in 1999 they fought the McMahons. It was a fresh change from the D-X of 1998 which they really pulled both sides being baby-faces and evil heels off. But when Vince and Shane join a group it usually goes to shit eg the corporate ministry.
I think the heel d-x was a great idea. But once steph got in the group, the NAO and xpac turned into lackeys. It was great seeing them go against Vince and his family.
@rp4qu I have to agree with you. For most of 2000 the members of DX were lapdogs for the McMahon-Hemsley Faction which tainted their reputation as a group that doesn't follow orders.
The Outlaws and X-Pac should NEVER have bowed to Triple H on October 25, 1999. It didn't make sense in the long run. As a face, X-Pac did quite well, standing up to wrestlers far bigger than he, and achieved quite a high position on the card. A heel X-Pac just looked weak and pathetic. The Outlaws turned their back on a LOT of crowd response.
Astounding how over these guys were. And to think they turned heel Just a month later at the direction of Triple H... As much as I respect the Game, he reallly did destroy their careers.
did triple h hand over the title 2 austin
