Being a saved Christian teen, i face a lot of temptations and peer pressure, and desires to listen to some of the crazy music going on these days, but Switchfoot allows me to listen to music that positively influences me, and allows me to continuously live for God, while i still get to enjoy really cool music! I wonder why it makes a difference to some ppl that a band is made of christian people. I mean, it only means these guys dont curse, drink, etc, but it doesnt really change the music. Thats what should matter to everyone. the music, not the guys personal beliefs--unless you wanted to be good friends with them or something then thats when you should get personal....

it really doesn't mean that these guys don't ever curse or drink. there just human, even if they are christian. but they believe in a person that makes all these things disappear from gods perspective (like me)

and for their band it means that they want to show the people outside the great love they have received from god and jesus.

They've said that being Christians influences their music, but they don't want to be labeled as a "Christian rock" because they want their music to appeal to everyone, not just one group of people.

I am glad they decided to produce more secular songs (even with religious undertones if fine). This band is amazing in many ways, and by not doing religious songs alone they can connect to fans of any faith or no faith, the latter being me. The songs have so much substance and very meaningful lyrics.
