I found a nice source for ammo, and I do not want to share. I am afraid, that is everyone goes their the prices will go up as the shelves go empty.
This proves to me capitalism is bullshit. Consumers demand cheap ammo, and produces just dont not met consumer demand at all. Same with housing, they would rather keep people homeless then allow prices to fall. capitalism sucks ass. It does not met the needs of the people.
Wait...where's all the carnage? According to some people, a shortage of ammunition is all it would take to send us 'crazy gun nuts' off the deep end and start our murderous rampages. Guess not...what else is new?
Firearms are an investment, and much more valuable than paper dollars. Guns can only increase in value over years if they are well maintained, while the dollar currency sinks. Also, the 2nd Amendment was made so that if the government goes rogue/tyrannical, the People could overthrow the government. Overthrowing the government of the world's most powerful nation would mean having to fight the military. Thus, an arsenal at home.
@AGeekWithAShotgun That still doesn't explain why you would want an arsenal (+ AMMO). If you want to invest there are tons of other things. If you choose real estate you could even earn through rent.
And if the government was doing such a horrible job that the people would turn against it, do you really think that the military would just start shooting the people? Soldiers are people too.
I always thought the 2nd amendment was basically there because the early US didn't have a standing army.
Real estate is a good investment? Are you high? Unless your Donald Trump or any other Fat cat, real estate is a terrible investment.
I would assume with Military WOULDN'T turn on the people, but you never know. With enough propaganda and brainwashing, people can do anything. Examples, Nazi Germany, Communist Revolution in Russia 1918, ect. Some times things just go bad
@gunfuego lol yep... i guess us guys in california better be on the look out for UFO's because we're about to get our ammo regulated next year... no more buying inexpensive ammo online... plus the prices will probably jack up locally. honestly, if the rest of the US just set us adrift from the rest of the states i wouldnt blame any of you, just let me move out first.

@XoXoVENOMoXoX Are you getting your ammo for self defence or to start a war? LOL To each his own. Me personally I think keeping more than 1000 rounds of any particular caliber is going overboard. If the SHTF scenario how are you gonna be able to carry 10k rounds of ammo in a backpack plus other stuff you need? Then again i have a semi auto AUG.
shortage is all over, prices are up, thats all. here in the FL wallmart has plenty on certain days, you just got to get the time right, 40 l is plenty, most desired and still being horded are 380, 38 and 45 JHP which i got alot due to amazing timing last week, i walked in as they brought in all the JHP's. it was like Christmas, called my sister and my Gf and their fiends, we walked out with every box of JHP they had20 min later, much cheaper than anywhere else. You say that Obama favors "common sense" but who's version of common sense?
Hitler, Stalin,Mao Zedong and Pol Pot all had strict gun control laws (and armed Jew can shoot back). They all said that they were just keeping guns out of the hands of criminals (just before they murdered 100 million+ people).
Who gets to decide which version of common sense we have to die for?
Clichés abound it seems. It's not the government taking our guns I'm worried about but rather a recessive economic crisis causing millions of otherwise law-abiding Americans to become desperate for food, water, and shelter (or money to obtain it) coming to take what others have been smart enough to stockpile or hoard. It's the story of the squirrel & the grasshopper except the grasshopper resorts to killing the squirrel for his food rather than waiting to freeze and starve to death.

Like tw o years ago, the US goverment order billion and some rounds for the US Military to supply to the afgan military and iraqi military, that why there an ammo shortage, they compaines are making ammo for the war
You mean, like, hamburgers, or DvDs, or maybe a night out at the movies? Seriously, what right do you have to be judgmental of other peoples recreational habits? I bet you think people who play Dungeons and Dragons are devil worshipers, or that people who oppose government mandated health insurance are all greedy, capitalist pigs who love insurance companies.
Almost anything actually - guitar lessons, HAM radio, boob jobs, if that's what you like, although I am personally opposed to boob jobs.
What right? I've got every right in the world to express my opinion, friend, just like you do.
And my opinion is that as a species, we spend far too much money on guns and bombs and ammo and things that were created for the sole purpose of killing other people. Do whatever you like, I don't care, just try not to hurt people.
Yes, you do have every right to express your opinion, and I applaud your anti-violent nature. But assuming that someone is a violent person because they own a gun is silly.
As long as there are people out there that want what other people have, and are willing to commit violence to make it their own, guns will be a necessary part of the peaceful mans livelyhood. Expecting everybody to just be happy and peaceful is a fools dream.
I haven't made that assumption. I was once a reservist and had lots of fun with all the weapons we trained with - and the friends I made in the reserves were the most friendly, gentle bunch of guys you could imagine.
And I agree, that we can't simply disarm.
But we have (or should have) a well-trained and well-armed police force to protect us from criminals, and military to protect us from foreign threats.
The average person should not need to have guns and ammo stockpiled at home.
The answer to this is that people simply need to properly educate themselves and their family on proper gun handling and safety. People who know how to treat a gun with respect are not likely to injure themselves or others, and this includes children.
Traffordsgoogle , seemed to work out pretty well in 1775- and onward. Get your nose out of the Talmudivision and phony public school indoctrination, and read a few old dusty history books.. one I would recommend that is very cheap, used at Amazon is "Paul Revere's Ride" by David Hackett Fischer
Traffordsgoogle : You said "The average person should not need to have guns and ammo stockpiled at home. " ~~ MY RESPONSE: Yes, because we can trust that the government Would never to do us wrong (100 Million + UNARMED citizens were butchered by their own governments in the 20th century) ) and because when seconds count, the police are only minutes away
Look, keep a reasonable amount of ammunition at home if you want to, but do you really think that if it comes to a gunfight, it's going to make a difference if you have 100 rounds or 100,000 rounds in your closet? Your conflict, whatever its nature, is going to be resolved in 10 rounds or less, in all likelihood. You are not running a guerilla war, despite what you might fantasise about at night.
Actually when criminals realize that someone is armed, they move on to an easier target (apparently to your house). That how the Korean shop owners kept the bad guys from looting and burning their shops.
The LA riots. lasted for days but Korean shop owners with guns, keet the bad guys from looting (and burning) their shops. 100 rounds would not be sufficient for the LA riots.
AND.... If you honestly expect to keep the bad guys away then you must know how to use a gun proficiently. Loading, aiming and shooting (in the dark and under pressure) must be 2nd nature (could you load in the dark?) That's how the police train (if they want to stay alive).
I wonder how many rounds those Korean shop owners actually had to use? I bet it wasn't more than 100. Normally just brandishing the weapon would be enough to keep the average rioter away. It wasn't like they were besieged and having drawn out gun battles....
The riots lasted 6 days and Korean shops were specifically targeted. During the LA riots, there were 53 murders, 2,000 injured, 3,600 fires set, 1,100 buildings destroyed, widespread looting and damage estimated to be about $1 Billion. For several days the police abandoned Koreatown.
I'd say that they needed a lot more than 100 bullets each.
"Actually when criminals realize that someone is armed, they move on to an easier target (apparently to your house). That how the Korean shop owners kept the bad guys from looting and burning their shops."
So by your own argument, the rioters would have taken one look at all those Koreans with big guns, and moved on to loot Chinatown or whatever. Are you saying they went and counted how many rounds the Koreans had in their closet?
@Traffordsgoogle You ever been in a massive riot? Theres never enough ammo. You cant have too much. And you can expect the bad guys to be packing rifles and shotguns too.
@labartic Well I've been around some yes, but normally when trouble such as a riot starts up I tend to withdraw to safety rather than stand around shooting people.
huh? I was in LA during the king riots, didnt see folks with their AR 15's out any where, youve never been in a riot either, so keep your fantasy advice to yourself, life is not an apocalypse video game or movie, In Iraq we stood by as the masses shouted death to the USA and spit on us, when u have orders not to engage u dont, if just one of us had lost it and fired, the crowd would have torn us to shreds with their bare hands, u speak about what u do not know, go back to ur Xbox kid
@JackSureshot So just because the last riots didnt require the use of an AR15 automatically means all other disasters will not either? Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Sounds like you used to be in the Army, so leave the thinking to me, kid.
checked ur post, makes me feel old, old enough to be your dad, I was in D storm and I.F. so just bacause I dont advocate paranoia, does not mean I'm not prepared. when u R in Iraq u get a true sense of what chaos is, Trust me son if shit hits the fan few people will be more prepared than I, likelyhood is less than 1/10 of 1 %, just alot of stupid chatter on the net, I commanded a brigade by 2008(figure out my rank) and will be wearing silver Oak leafs soon. rest assured I can think
@JackSureshot Ive found there is no direct correlation between age and intelligence. My philosophy is to be prepared for the worst and if anything less happens, then youll still be fine.
I hope you will keep your oath to defend the Constitution if we ever have martial law or gun confiscation. Most military have no concept of what individual rights are,or why our Constitution exists,or what it says.
The officers I have known who are real patriots are very few. Hope youre one of them
"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security"
The difference between military and militia is personal agendas of the few leaders in a militia become valid for civil unrest.
the Military will defend against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. godspeed all patriots
@JackSureshot The militia is by definition the armed people. I think it is assuming much to think one militia leader here or there will create a revolution for an entire nation. Today there are not many organized militias, mostly a few friends or family here or there who trust one another.Groups of 2 or 3.
I hope you are not saying you will shoot on American citizens if ordered. There government is tyrannical and ruining the nation. Any soldier who shoots on citizens can expect to be shot at
@JackSureshot Also, who won the revolutionary war for this country? It was the American people, which create militias, then standing armies. It is 'we the people' who are the real protectors of the country.
The military is all too eager to ignore their oath and obey their orders. The military confiscated guns from law abiding citizens during Katrina. They forgot their oath. Next time they will get shot if they attempt to do that.
Anyone overstepping their oath is a tyrant and usurper
military must not be deployed on home soil, and much to the chagrin of many, I do not consider the state and national guard to be of the true military brass. The 2nd amendment is a right provided by our forefathers, therefore superseding any and all orders. if and when that day arrives when a single order threatens the constitutional right afforded, I just like hundreds of thousands of others will consider it an unlawful order, such orders can not, and will not be followed.
@JackSureshot That fact is national guard did confiscate weapons, so that makes me think that regular troops would do the same thing in an "emergency" situation. I hope you will not follow unlawful orders when the time comes. Emergencies do not suspend the Constitution.
@JackSureshot Also, its very likely in my opinion the government will create a false flag event, like another OK city bombing and blame it on tea party/militias as an excuse to confiscate weapons or round up domestic terrorists (people who disagree with government)
Its always masked as something seemingly necessary and reasonable.
The revolutionary militias operated in cooperation with the continental army, and fought a foreign invading army, militias today , unfortunately are a bunch of discontent bored civilians, who demand to be heard on a single or a few issues and are willing to use violence to make a point. Such subversive actions by a few are troubling to most military men and women including me, they have a mob mentality which can be dangerous when cooler heads need to prevail.
Outlawing or restricting access to ammunition only creates a black market demand. The black market is truly a free market, no regulations or taxes although it does create fear of prosecution by the state.
Isn't that just too bad. People won't be able to kill things with guns. They won't get to pretend how bad they are. Really they kill each other more than anyone else. They get their guns stolen. That's where hard core criminals get their guns. America is a bloody mess. A lot of people like it that way. We're so far in denail we're never getting out.
well we are at war so that accounts for some of the ammo shortage but u would think they would just make more but idk but obama will never be able to pass any law to ban any kind of guns its not even in his power to do so now he may put a bill thru congress and its up to them to pass it or not but it will never happen so all this crazyness is really for nothing.......
From what I understood from this video supply has remained the same and demand has gone up. So basically firearm owners have made it hard to get. Not the government.
Correct me if I'm wrong. As much fun as it is I can't afford to go to the range or own firearms.
Yea I do not believe that this report is telling me the whole truth, since most people I know do not have wives telling them that is enough on the bullets. So if I am being told not to believe everything I am told, than be ensured I don't believe what Obama is telling me, due to the fact he has said one thing and done another. Last I heard, that is called lying!
I swear to god I read the video title and thought it was from The Onion!

i dont think there is anymore rednecks around last i heard was 1920s most use that term completely wrong. Lesson A Redneck is a UNION coal miner from the 1800 and earlier 1900s. They terms the redneck from all the union miners wore a red bandanna around their necks to signal they were a union member the term redneck came from that .

There are so many more worthwhile ways to spend your money.

You mean, like, hamburgers, or DvDs, or maybe a night out at the movies? Seriously, what right do you have to be judgmental of other peoples recreational habits? I bet you think people who play Dungeons and Dragons are devil worshipers, or that people who oppose government mandated health insurance are all greedy, capitalist pigs who love insurance companies.
intolerantape 2 years ago 3
Almost anything actually - guitar lessons, HAM radio, boob jobs, if that's what you like, although I am personally opposed to boob jobs.
What right? I've got every right in the world to express my opinion, friend, just like you do.
And my opinion is that as a species, we spend far too much money on guns and bombs and ammo and things that were created for the sole purpose of killing other people. Do whatever you like, I don't care, just try not to hurt people.
Traffordsgoogle 2 years ago
Yes, you do have every right to express your opinion, and I applaud your anti-violent nature. But assuming that someone is a violent person because they own a gun is silly.
As long as there are people out there that want what other people have, and are willing to commit violence to make it their own, guns will be a necessary part of the peaceful mans livelyhood. Expecting everybody to just be happy and peaceful is a fools dream.
intolerantape 2 years ago 4
If every peaceful person threw their guns away, you can bet that anarchy would reign as the criminals had their way with society.
So please, don't assume that people who own guns are disposed of a violent nature.
intolerantape 2 years ago 3
I haven't made that assumption. I was once a reservist and had lots of fun with all the weapons we trained with - and the friends I made in the reserves were the most friendly, gentle bunch of guys you could imagine.
And I agree, that we can't simply disarm.
But we have (or should have) a well-trained and well-armed police force to protect us from criminals, and military to protect us from foreign threats.
The average person should not need to have guns and ammo stockpiled at home.
Traffordsgoogle 2 years ago
That assumption is valid - until you ask yourself "What if the criminals are the people who are supposed to be protecting us?"
Be very careful about dismissing this question as frivolous.
intolerantape 2 years ago 2
Oh, that is something upon which you and I are in complete agreement!
But I
Traffordsgoogle 2 years ago
But I do not believe that it will be of any benefit for the average person to resort to armed conflict in order to achieve justice and change.
They are more likely to be hurt by their own weapons, than use them in any meaningful way against the powers that be.
Traffordsgoogle 2 years ago
The answer to this is that people simply need to properly educate themselves and their family on proper gun handling and safety. People who know how to treat a gun with respect are not likely to injure themselves or others, and this includes children.
intolerantape 2 years ago 10
Traffordsgoogle , seemed to work out pretty well in 1775- and onward. Get your nose out of the Talmudivision and phony public school indoctrination, and read a few old dusty history books.. one I would recommend that is very cheap, used at Amazon is "Paul Revere's Ride" by David Hackett Fischer
7pt62manNW 2 years ago
Traffordsgoogle : You said "The average person should not need to have guns and ammo stockpiled at home. " ~~ MY RESPONSE: Yes, because we can trust that the government Would never to do us wrong (100 Million + UNARMED citizens were butchered by their own governments in the 20th century) ) and because when seconds count, the police are only minutes away
7pt62manNW 2 years ago 3
Look, keep a reasonable amount of ammunition at home if you want to, but do you really think that if it comes to a gunfight, it's going to make a difference if you have 100 rounds or 100,000 rounds in your closet? Your conflict, whatever its nature, is going to be resolved in 10 rounds or less, in all likelihood. You are not running a guerilla war, despite what you might fantasise about at night.
Traffordsgoogle 2 years ago
Thats true, you will never spend all the ammo you have, because the forces that be will have bigger guns, Booom your dead and so is your house
Roten67 1 year ago
Actually when criminals realize that someone is armed, they move on to an easier target (apparently to your house). That how the Korean shop owners kept the bad guys from looting and burning their shops.
penguinistas 1 year ago
The LA riots. lasted for days but Korean shop owners with guns, keet the bad guys from looting (and burning) their shops. 100 rounds would not be sufficient for the LA riots.
AND.... If you honestly expect to keep the bad guys away then you must know how to use a gun proficiently. Loading, aiming and shooting (in the dark and under pressure) must be 2nd nature (could you load in the dark?) That's how the police train (if they want to stay alive).
100 rounds is not enough.
penguinistas 1 year ago 2
I wonder how many rounds those Korean shop owners actually had to use? I bet it wasn't more than 100. Normally just brandishing the weapon would be enough to keep the average rioter away. It wasn't like they were besieged and having drawn out gun battles....
Traffordsgoogle 1 year ago
The riots lasted 6 days and Korean shops were specifically targeted. During the LA riots, there were 53 murders, 2,000 injured, 3,600 fires set, 1,100 buildings destroyed, widespread looting and damage estimated to be about $1 Billion. For several days the police abandoned Koreatown.
I'd say that they needed a lot more than 100 bullets each.
penguinistas 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
But your argument doesn't make sense:
"Actually when criminals realize that someone is armed, they move on to an easier target (apparently to your house). That how the Korean shop owners kept the bad guys from looting and burning their shops."
So by your own argument, the rioters would have taken one look at all those Koreans with big guns, and moved on to loot Chinatown or whatever. Are you saying they went and counted how many rounds the Koreans had in their closet?
Traffordsgoogle 1 year ago
@Traffordsgoogle You ever been in a massive riot? Theres never enough ammo. You cant have too much. And you can expect the bad guys to be packing rifles and shotguns too.

JackSureshot 1 year ago
@JackSureshot So just because the last riots didnt require the use of an AR15 automatically means all other disasters will not either? Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Sounds like you used to be in the Army, so leave the thinking to me, kid.

JackSureshot 1 year ago

JackSureshot 1 year ago
@JackSureshot The militia is by definition the armed people. I think it is assuming much to think one militia leader here or there will create a revolution for an entire nation. Today there are not many organized militias, mostly a few friends or family here or there who trust one another.Groups of 2 or 3.
I hope you are not saying you will shoot on American citizens if ordered. There government is tyrannical and ruining the nation. Any soldier who shoots on citizens can expect to be shot at
labartic 1 year ago
@JackSureshot Also, who won the revolutionary war for this country? It was the American people, which create militias, then standing armies. It is 'we the people' who are the real protectors of the country.
The military is all too eager to ignore their oath and obey their orders. The military confiscated guns from law abiding citizens during Katrina. They forgot their oath. Next time they will get shot if they attempt to do that.
Anyone overstepping their oath is a tyrant and usurper
labartic 1 year ago
@labartic
military must not be deployed on home soil, and much to the chagrin of many, I do not consider the state and national guard to be of the true military brass. The 2nd amendment is a right provided by our forefathers, therefore superseding any and all orders. if and when that day arrives when a single order threatens the constitutional right afforded, I just like hundreds of thousands of others will consider it an unlawful order, such orders can not, and will not be followed.
JackSureshot 1 year ago
@JackSureshot That fact is national guard did confiscate weapons, so that makes me think that regular troops would do the same thing in an "emergency" situation. I hope you will not follow unlawful orders when the time comes. Emergencies do not suspend the Constitution.
labartic 1 year ago 2
@JackSureshot Also, its very likely in my opinion the government will create a false flag event, like another OK city bombing and blame it on tea party/militias as an excuse to confiscate weapons or round up domestic terrorists (people who disagree with government)
Its always masked as something seemingly necessary and reasonable.
labartic 1 year ago 3
@labartic

The black market is truly a free market, no regulations or taxes although it does create fear of prosecution by the state.

katey1dog 2 years ago
Isn't that just too bad. People won't be able to kill things with guns. They won't get to pretend how bad they are. Really they kill each other more than anyone else. They get their guns stolen. That's where hard core criminals get their guns. America is a bloody mess. A lot of people like it that way. We're so far in denail we're never getting out.

From what I understood from this video supply has remained the same and demand has gone up. So basically firearm owners have made it hard to get. Not the government.
