  • Magical and perfect singing of Allan Clarke. Oneof the best Hollies songs!

  • Noticing the Shure 545 Mics, they were great mics for the time.

  • Spectacular

  • Great song, love it, they are all so funny, this song keeps me going through yr 9 exams, great messages by great people and the best band ever!!!! : )

  • Great song! I love it! They did it so wonderfully here too... and they wrote it : )

  • Doo the best of you? WTF?

  • absolutely one of my favorite songs by the hollies

  • hey, btw, what is a 'rita' waiting in a 'mac'??? british friends, what say you??? lol

  • i just love the banjo intro

  • I love how Graham takes Tony's banjo, and Tony just gets out another one :')

  • Great live performance here with fantastic timing and hamonies. Bobby's drumming is the best I heard from him

  • "Please be kind to those who fail to comprehend.., and in time who knows, you'll maybe make a friend" maaaaaann, that's some pop song sage wisdome that'll help a hommie in more ways than one.............

  • Graham is so funnnneh. <3 good job lads!

  • I love you Hollies !! you were THE BEST GROUP from my fav ERA THE 60s' xxx...Allan you are amazing my darling !! wish I cud turn back time . so I cud be frozen in that wonderful ERA!!!!.. it was so special .. thanx for posting my friend ... Lyndloo..

  • Another great song from the lovely HOLLIES!!!!!

  • Oh, this is SO Awesome! Love it..love it..love it.

  • What's that instrument Graham is playing? The neck looks like a guitar neck, but the body looks like that of a banjo.

  • @whisperedadoration It's exactly that...a banjo body with a guitar neck put on...and probably strung like a guitar.

  • @ladybluluv

Is that what's classified as a Ganjo?

  • @Aibajunno Yes, I believe so.

  • @ladybluluv , aibajunno, harvey, and whisper: that is called a banjitar - tony was playing it on 'the very last day' before he turned it over to graham. it is a 6-strng banjo with a guitar neck, tuned like a guitar so he can play guitar chords, but it still sounds like a banjo - great sound, huh?! easier to play than a trad 5-string banjo, that tony switched to, which is harder to play since the tuning and fingering are so much different than a guitar. doncha love it?!?! xo

  • @LadieBug357 yes, i already knew that..thanx

  • why is it Nash mic' was never louder than Clarke's... turn up the mic' and get your finger off the suck button.

  • I REALLY love this song! It's fun to sing along to and I like the lyrics. This was one of their own penned tunes too : )

  • As many a time I watched this I'm surprised I never noticed that it wasn't an actual banjo Graham was playing here, too busy always looking at Tony, I guess : ) But yeah, you can see the neck is clearly a guitar neck. Hey, it sounded great here with Tony's banjo playing. Wonderful stuff!!

  • THE FANTASTIC HOLLIES

  • What brilliant harmonies, the Hollies are one of the all time greats

  • These Croatian clips are great. Is there a DVD of them? Their harmonies are great live. Note that Tony is theonly one playing banjo since Graham is playing a guitar with a banjo body to it. Tony was the one playing the banjo on Stop Stop Stop, electrified. Where did these clips suddenly appear from?

  • my my my, Tony is SO adorable and Hot here!!

  • @ladybluluv I suspect that is the first time in written word a banjo player was ever referred to as "Hot"!

  • Alan Clarke's live vocal performances were always amazing, studio quality, brilliant vocal harmonies from the original line up.

  • Thank for posting this gem, Lynn. The Hollies are having a ball performing and the attitude is contagious.

  • They always looked like they were really having fun and enjoying themselves when they played and performed.

  • For years I have wondered why this terrific band never got their just due. Finally they are being recognized for their many talents. A great band that produced so many feel good songs when I was growing up in the '60s. Thank you Hollies.

  • Thank you RRHOF for the nomination of the HOLLIES a GREAT band..i'm so happy for TERRY, ALLAN, TONY, BERNIE, BOBBY and GRAHAM.....CONGRATS!!!!

  • Graham - who I am especially happy for - said in Rolling Stone that he was happy for his mates, especially Allan. I hope they all have a blast on the big day. Congratulations to one and all, and I hope they're all there. You know my hero Nashie will! *S*

  • What a combo Nash /Hicks/ Clark hope they make it next year (2010) to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, I can't think of another band that deserves it more. with hit's like "Bus Stop", "She Ain't Heavy She's my Mother :) I have my fingers crossed.

  • cool song done really well here with the 2 banjos...yeah!

  • This song is so wonderfully performed here.Just a work of art from the HOLLIES.

  • great song from these monsters of nature, great work!

  • I adore this song!!!!!!!!

  • 2:09-2:31. Angels singing!

  • Just love this clip, and could eat it up. Graham's 10,000 watt grin is enough to brighten anyone's day, not to mention his voice.

  • Wooooww, yeahhhh, fantastic!!

  • Doo the Best of You

  • Hahahahaha, surrealistic

  • You can tell they're proud of this one

  • In the U.S. this song was the A-side. It was a minor hit in the autumn of 1968, and got quite a bit of airplay here in Los Angeles.

  • Oh, my dear heart....I LOVE THEM!!!!!
