I've figured it out. The Republicans are almost 50% of the voting public and they are against healthcare reform (and EVERYTHING else). The healthcare industry is against healthcare reform AND they are spending millions daily to kill or cripple the legislation by lobbying (buying senate votes) and 'dirty tricks' tactics.

Healthcare reform is going to FAIL. Unless Obama twists osme arms of 'bluedogs' until they are black and blue!

...If they voted for the Coburn amend., it would go against the fundamentals of the whole bill. It is a PUBLIC OPTION bill which means EVERYONE has an option to get healthcare regardless of job or preexisting condition.
