Well I Don't know, but first did u make sure the phone was in recovery mode before u ran the Devicetool? & 2nd do u have java installed in ur computer? because if u dont have the latest version of java it probly wont work..So Id go back and check what version of java ur system has & if its an old version download the recent version from the website.. Install it then restart the process all over again..

For Palm pixi plus to work. U need to hold the volume-up key button alongwith power button for like 5 to 6 secs. then the usb sign will occur! no need for battery replacement etc.!

Worked great. Totally brilliant. Good work JQ. Took a long time though. I had to restart webOS about 10 times and it wouldn't get past 4% and then told me the phone had disconnected. So just for the hell of it I put the phone into Recovery Mode and then started webOS and it just sailed through the whole process, just like in the video......thanks a million.

This saved me a bunch. If you had trouble with the computer recognizing the device the firs time, reboot it i debugging mode (keep your finger on the volume up button, while you boot up.)

Remember to change the .zip to .jar before you run it should read devicetool.jar then it will work

i just figured it out. if you download the bypass tool and it comes out as a .zip instead of a .jar its because you have to un-install winrar or whatever un-zipping program you have on your computer and then the program will run right.

It took me a while to figure out where/how to download the second tool. It came to me as a .zip and I had to rename it to .jar. Also pulling the battery from my pre didn't do it- but keeping the batter IN and then holding vulume up while plugging in the usb is what put it into recovery mode. THANKS!!!

This was a big help my device was reactivated and had no 3G connection and could not sign into Palm Profile and Verizon and Palm did not help at all!!
