I feel I owe it to all that are in lust with David............search for David Bowie & Catherine Deneuve::::......its a 1 minute 49 clip, set to an Al Green classic, trust me, you wont be disapointed......Enjoy..
My band has been playing around with this song for a few months. One of our guys does the flight director's lines and another does Major Tom's. They let me do the countdown. We haven't tried doing it for an audience yet.
I was on this consert in Oslo. It was a very spesiell tour. He was almost alone on the stage, but it was just so good to see him like that also, he is the Greatest for me.
Even though he looked great on this tour, this was undoubtedly his worst touring band ever. Simply awful; all echo and sparse and full of dead spots. And yes, I know that Bowie wanted to "strip down" after the Glass Spider bombast, but these guys were just dreadful. A real shame, because he did look wonderful here..still in his prime, shoulda been a classic tour. Woulda been, except for them bozos from Cincinatti.
I saw this tour out at the Nassau Coliseum and it was memorizing...but don;t forget an earlier tour he did with aguy that had some chops named Stevie Ray Vaughn..if i'm not wrong Bowie was the one of the headliner acts at the US Festival and payed his band about $500 apiece...... I don't know which was worse Bowiie financial rape or having to listen to David Lee Roth drop an F-bomb10 seconds during a forgettable VH set....
He is entirely beautiful. Stunning. So incredible than we can't get the whole thing due the risk of blow ourselves inside out, so we grab his beautyness in tiny pieces at a time.:)
Great! I watched this show in Lisbon, back then. The Sound + Vision Tour was something unique, for Bowie wanted it to be just the whole of his music, without theatrical distractions. It was kind of a farewell to his repertoire: he was't promoting any album, but looking back at his career. And, keeping it simple, he managed to put together a great band, with Adrian Belew shining bright.
I recorded the audio from that Milton Keyes show on the Westward 1 Radio broadcast. August 1990. Befrore "Ziggy", he said, "Last time in London for this one!" Great stuff.
This is cool, but I must say that the giant, staring, judgmental face of a holographic David Bowie sounds terrifying.
