I was in the 4-square denomination for about 7 yrs. and I could never reconcile to myself the fact that the founder of this denomination was an adulterer(continually), a liar, and died of a drug overdose.

dont get me wrong, we all make mistakes, stumble, and fall, but, this was her un-repentant lifestyle.

you can't just say "God forgive me", you have to repent, which in laymans terms means...change your lifestyle! dont live in it anymore! you are a new creation in Christ.

I'm am not a 4square person. In fact, I think some of the Pent. is too extreme and goes in the direction of heresy (ie Oneness etc). However, I am Charismatic. I think Aimee could be compared to Samson in many ways. Sex and relationship being a stumbling block and sin causing her death like Samson.

I don't think you shoud condemn a whole church based on a leader's sin. Even unrepentant. The church is more than it's pastor. And the body of Christ is more than Peter or David.

LDS Church is heretical based on bad doctrine. Joseph Smith has nothing to do with it. Four Square is within the pale of Christian Orthodoxy. LDS is not.

Oneness theology rejects the Triune nature of God shown through scripture.

Well in actuality the Old Testament shows nothing of a Triune God. Only a few scriptures, (I can only think of three, one in genesis, isaiah, and psalms, can even be used to allude to such a concept. To the Jews, the ones to whom God was first revealed, their was never a concept of triunity in God. Their belief was Hear O Israel the Lord our God is One Lord. He was one being, with one mind, with one will, with one nature, with one purpose. There was no division in him.

The concept of the Trinity was not established until the Council of Nicea in 325 and not fully explained and defined until the 400s or with the Athanasian Creed. Before this time there were many Christians who opposed the Triune belief. Some believed Jesus was not a different person, bcuz God did not consist of different persons, but that he was the same one spirit embodied in flesh. Some believed he was a lesser god. Some believed he was not God at all. They took a vote. triune won.

And as we know in the history of the Catholic church. All who opposed them were heretics, excommunicated, etc. They were and very unholy and non-christian people. The church corrupted greatly. The scripture really doesn't teach a unity of persons in God, unless you use the word person to only mean role or manifestation. If it is used to mind distinct wills, minds, attributes, natures, desires. Then God is very schizophrenic having a war within himself.

Trinitarians try to avoid this by saying though they are all different they work together so they are the one. Well this sounds good, you still have three combining in a captain planet like way to make one. There is not an absolute one, but a collection of people who make one. As the Athanasian creeds states the son is Lord and father Lord and Spirit Lord all in their own right and separately. and when combined they are not 3 lords but one Lord. scripture does not imply. The scripture shows conversation between the son and father. However whether trinitarian or oneness, you must agree that it is the flesh praying to the spirit because the divine spirit would have no need to pray. Tr. teaches that the flesh of the son was talking the the divine of the father which is a different or distinct divinity from the son but also states that the spirit or divinity is the same.

One. teaches the the flesh of the son prays to the divine called the father but that it is no different from the his divine of the son. It is the same. I would not call either heresy. Just that the two have different understandings of what it means to be the son. That there is confusion about what it means to be one and when one implies unity and when it implies one numerically. The important thing is that both believe that the son is of God and from God. How that comes to be may not be of

greatest importance, but it is more important to believe that God has come in the flesh to redeem mankind. He sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins.

However I must say it is much easier to reconcile there being One being with one mind, spirit, will nature, etc manifesting himself in different ways with different titles and names and even a fleshly manifestation, than to have three distinct beings coming from a common substance and say that because of the kindredness of the substance They are One being who is 3 distinct persons.

**** Four stars out of Five. I liked that Rossi left it open to decide if she was real or a fraud. A portrayal that wasn't skewed towards either extreme. Most films made on a shoestring are really hard for me to watch, but Rossi made a gripping film. He covered his lack of production values with lots of close-ups, which felt claustrophobic, but supported his portrayal of Aimee feeling trapped by her role as an icon. For me and my friends, we saw our struggles as women well-portrayed.
