Oooh, I am sure you have a friend. You don't need many. You just need 1 or 2 good friend for life :)

And you can always rescue a hamster from craigslist in your area. There are a lot of hamsters looking for a loving home. Check out Craigslists. I think we are kinda friend.

Have you ever check online pet adoption called Craigslist for your area ?

They have hamsters for adoption. Some are $5 - $20 and some are free. They usually come with cage and food already.

Well ..actually my hamsters are very laid back. They love the dogs and they'll come out when I call them at dinner time....they are always eating...

My dogs love small animals.

They love to guard them actually. Many times the hamsters ran away from the cage and Skye will babysit them until morning.

I love my Hamsters.

I don't know how would I feel if I don't have them. They were my first hamsters and I didn't know hamsters are so loving.

They love to cuddle and they remember the hands who feed them. They always wait for me by the door at dinner time.

They're much more than I expected.

My dogs are too crazy for smaller animal. Skye (the blue eye corgi) will kiss and kiss until hamsters are soaked.

My Corgis love those hamsters like their baby.

Several times the hamster got out (mostly Cocoa) and the Corgis were babysitting them all night.

They like to give my hamsters a bath :0) although the hamsters hate it. LOL

You need to go to your local Craigslist

There are many hamsters for adoption from local families. Some already come with cage and food, some are free.

Read the reason why they are letting their hamster go.

Ask if it's healthy and if they handle their hamster daily.

When you decide on one or two, visit and try to hold the hamster for a while. See if it's really tame.

Don't get one with wet tail, bald spots, or skin problem, no matter how cute it is.

You'll find a good one.

Oh... I'm sorry for your lost and also not so nice experience with hamsters.

Hamsters that are not used to be handled (tame) will take sometimes to learn to trust their human companions.

Hamsters from the pet shops are also not as friendly.

Make sure to hold them/ play with them before you get one. You will be able to know if that particular hamster is a biter or not.

You'll be able to tell right away. Don't just trust the seller.

They are filled with different breeds looking for new homes everyday.
