Best shooter of all time! Allan Houston was the very first Knick player I've heard about and I had his jersey when I was 5 years old when the Knicks had kind of a triangle on the side and the present day uniform. He should have played with the Knicks again but D'Antoni didn't have a spot for him.

I'm sorry, but standing there hitting set shot jumpers moving at 1/4 the speed you would in a game is not impressive. I played college ball and I wouldn't leave the gym every time until I hit 20 threes in a row. Most all college guards can do this at that speed. In the NBA you have to be going 4 times faster and still be that accurate when you're the only person in the gym.

Let's see him guard some NBA 2 guards and then see if he can proclaim to "being back".

It's sad he never made it back on the team, but I've no doubt he would've contributed. The sad truth is he never recovered from that knee injury. Even as a jump shooter he needed every vertical inch to get his shot off against quicker more athletic defenders. Once he couldn't do that anymore, he's just a set shooter, albeit a very good one still.

I think he gets in and drops 10-15 points a game and is one of the top players in the league during 08-09. H20 can still shoot and this only confirms that since he has been sitting out that he's been working and he looks smooth and relaxed and there is no substitute for experience. If his knees have healed, game over.

He can definitely still hit open shots. But at this stage he won't be able to create his own. Even back before he got injured he usually just shot it in defenders' faces but he had enough elevation to get the shot over them. He couldn't do that after the surgery and started getting blocked more often and taken out of his rhythm, which is why his 04-05 season was so dismal.

I think Jeffries tried switching to # 1 so Houston could have his 20 back but the league wouldn't let them.
