Kris Allens version is good, but I love this version. I've heard this song on the radio for quite sometime and never knew who sung it...didnt know it was an Irish band. This song makes you think.

@Maholain Becides Live Like We're Dying, The Script only co-wrote one additional song on his album. And yes, it is a cover because The Script had it released in 2008, before Kris was even on Idol. It was a bonus track, but it was still there's originally.

siiRaimie, I don't know this for sure, but it seems to me that if The Script actually recorded this song before Kris did, they actually wrote it for themselves and Kris and his people obtained the rights to cover it, which happens all the time in the industry. Therefore, I don't think The Script wrote this song FOR Kris like you said. It's just a thought though.
