I started highschool today, and going into it, since a guy in my grade raped a girl, a girl set the school on fire, a girl got kicked out of a mental hospital for blowing a random guy there, all last year, all in my grade, so was really scared to go back, but people were actually really nice.

It took awhile to find the people that are really close friends to me. but that last 2 years of my life were good of amazing friendships! there the people who i will be sure to keep in touch 20 years later, and more of course. If this other girl decides to talk about you, than your friend will hear what she is saying and, if she is a true friend, she will an end to it. If she dosen't then you need to tell her!!!!!! Maybe invite her to your house and just tell her how you feel calmly (no yelling) and it'd be helpful if you kind of know what your gonna say before you say it so you can controll the conversation!

Ask yourself (i know this is horrible) this: she's your best friend, but are you hers still? if they ask you why you're not sitting with just them just be honest n say that they're your friends too. If that chick starts bitching about you then ask her why - don't be confrontational or rude, just ask. if she can't come up with a good reason tell her that its disrespectful, n rude.

Also last year when I was a freshman in high school, a good thing for me was getting involved with a group (I'm in marching band) because you'll feel comfortable in high school cause you know most of the people and you won't need to feel weird around upperclassmen.

ya hi umm i have a problem i have a group of 5 friends and this new girl is in our group and i was the one who told her that she could sit with us at lunch well 2 weeks past and she is rly annoying like she back talks to my friend thTat is a boy and now he is rly annoyed by her so ya and i am tryin to get her to make new friends but she wont like she keeps blaming things sayin that like i can tgo sit with them she hit me and isnt very nice sooo she keeps sitting with does anyone have advice

@kooliogal1 yeah tell her you dont appreciate her attitude, and that in case she hasnt noticed no one likes her. I had this happen last year, I know what your going through, but with people like her you HAVE to be mean. She hasn't gotten the hint obviously, so be strong and tell her to get the fuck out lol. hope i helped just a little...

Good advice! It took awhile to find the people that are really close friends to me. but that last 2 years of my life were good of amazing friendships! there the people who i will be sure to keep in touch 20 years later, and more of course. Well going into grade 11 and so far loving high school. Way less drama then in middle! probably because of the awesome friends i have.

I changed my group of friends when I was a freshman. I just would do everyother day at the two lunch tables and eventually moved to the one table.

hey buck im going back to school in a few weeks and my friend vanessa hates my other friend leslie and my friend lesiis friends with this girl who has always picks on me named abigail and is really mean to me and i asked my friends if they want to sit together and leslie asked abigail if she wants to sit with us and leslie said if abigail is mad at her she wont be her friend then she'll get super mad and i'll lose my bff! please help

Hey I REALLY need advice. So I'm going back to school and all my friends are breaking. My best friend is now hanging out with this other girl but the other girl won't hang out with my other friend. I entering middle school and the hardest part of the whole will be lunch. I only want to sit with my best friend but if I want my best friend I get the other girl but if I sit with my other friend then the girl whos hanging out with my friend will say things about me. What should I do? PLEASE HELP!!!

@harrypotter12354 hey, I totaly know what your talking but SIT WITH YOUR FRIEND!! If this other girl decides to talk about you, than your friend will hear what she is saying and, if she is a true friend, she will an end to it. If she dosen't then you need to tell her!!!!!! Maybe invite her to your house and just tell her how you feel calmly (no yelling) and it'd be helpful if you kind of know what your gonna say before you say it so you can controll the conversation!

@harrypotter12354 be a social butterfly n sit with both. friends change. groups change, we just have to deal with it. Ask yourself (i know this is horrible) this: she's your best friend, but are you hers still? if they ask you why you're not sitting with just them just be honest n say that they're your friends too. If that chick starts bitching about you then ask her why - don't be confrontational or rude, just ask. if she can't come up with a good reason tell her that its disrespectful, n rude.

Thanks a lot. I always wanted to try to be friends with everyone but my group of friends are the best so I won't worry about that. Also last year when I was a freshman in high school, a good thing for me was getting involved with a group (I'm in marching band) because you'll feel comfortable in high school cause you know most of the people and you won't need to feel weird around upperclassmen.

I'm worried about my first day of school on Monday (actually the second for everyone else) - last Friday, which I missed because I was on vacation and came back Saturday at midnight - because of all the homework that I missed and have to catch up on.

I wish I would of seen this two weeks ago, when school started the 17th. I'm a Junior and new to the area. It has been SO hard for me to make friends, and for the most part I've done what you have said. I can't sit anywhere at lunch becasue everyone established their seats, so I've sat in the library every day by myself. It's hard when you don't know anyone at all.. So I am going to try to make friends through clubs, becasue that is a way I can find common ground.

hey buck. I need some help.im starting highschool this year, & all the people around me r telling me that elementary school doesnt matter,what people thought of you b4,doesnt matter going into highschool bcuz its a new start. but me? I was hated. by 97% of the school. I only had a few good friends. & what im afraid of is.. going into school all happy & confident & then being bullied & hated again bcuz everyone that hated me in elementary school is going to my highschool what do i do?Please help.
