Larry is a fine name for a duck. I love it! All my ducks are call ducks although I don't think they are pure bred. Loopy is the most perfect as in her shape and size and the others seem a little bigger with longer bills but I would still call them calls.
You can give fresh peas but I gave her organic frozen peas. I would get about 1/4 cup to thaw at a time and then she would sit in my lap. I'll send you a video that took 2 months to make called Growing up Duck. That is about the time it takes to get all the feathers grown out.

Cute vid! Your Call Ducks are so cute! I really hope to get some myself someday. I find it intresting that your ducks eat peas. I've got a few ducks at home and I've never thought of trying to feed them peas (we usually feed those to the chickens) I'll have to try that sometime this summer. ^_^

That drake is a chatterbox, alright.
Those two ducks with short bills and the higher pitch quacks are the "Call Ducks".

I think it will be very tame with you. You can also give treats like worms or when wilma was a baby we gave her peas.

I got the idea from watching tifotter's vids. She was feeding them to her ducks and yes, they like! I think they like fresh worms more though...
