We had Imus doing production and writing ad-copy before he was anyone. He was a real asshole, I almost smashed his face in one day when he called me "nigger lover". Free speech doesn't mean anyone can say anything. There are various types of speech that are illegal because of the harm they can cause such as yelling fire in a movie theatre. Beck himself plays the edge of doing just that all the times he keeps talking about killing, poisoning or hitting people with shovels or saying Obama should shoot us or set us on fire. Used to love GB but now I'm on the fence after getting XM and listening to O&A and Ron and Fez.Tried a couple times this week to listen when they were on replay, but all you get is...5 min Monologue/commercial/5 min rejoin/live read/repeat. He's become a commercial whore this last year and the listeners suffer with not even 20 minutes of radio per hour.
