I watched this almost everyday in the 90's around this time of year :) I have not seen it in years and I still know all the words! I am so glad I ha Barney as a kid! These characters on shows today will not help you learn as much as Barney did. The 90's were the best possible decade for kids to grow up in!

Soooo glad I still have this VHS...and loads of other old cartoons and holiday specials. I also have Barney's Imagination Island, but somewhere along the line lost my others. The best two were the green-boxed one in which they were singing & dancing at a playground (pretending to be astronauts), and the yellow-boxed one that had them all onstage (and a picture of the big bathtub they rolled out...) I just love watching old, nostalgic stuff. Such a fuzzy yet bittersweet feeling.

I grew up on this. IM 20 and still loves barney in the back yard gang. The barney now a days has no meaning. I owned everything that was barney bac then from dolls to kids action figure. Now im passing it on to my kids hope they enjoy them. Barney and the backyard gang rocks, Michael was always my favorite

I always watched this on Christmas Eve night, and at 4:00 in the morning the next day, I always used to sneak downstairs and check under the tree to see if he came. I always saw a lot of presents under the tree!!!! I was 5 years old back then...
