"'Pooh,' said Christopher Robin earnestly, 'if I-if I'm not quite-' he stopped and tried again-'Pooh,Whatever happens, you will understand won't you?' I think Pooh did understand."
I find it funny how Christopher Robin turns British for brief moments in the movie. His animal friends aren't the only characters with speech impediments...
Watching this with my two year old it's quite nostalgic cartoons nowadays aren't as nice as the ones i grew up watching so i'm glad this is on here :)
The wonderful thing about tiggers Is tiggers are wonderful things! Their tops are made out of rubber Their bottoms are made out of springs! They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! <3
@mustang4sho nonono........you got it backwards man! squidward is the rabbit of pooh! (you see? winnie the pooh was well before spongebob which means he's first, the one! the original!). great childhood memories this video. i actually had it on VHS! it was awesome :)
This makes me want to be a kid again, especially because my childhood wasn't the best. Doesn't anyone who had a rotten childhood ever want to get a second chance to relive a better one?
@MimiTheHamster I had a pretty lousy childhood as well, but I wouldn't like another try. Chances are that it wound turn out just as bad, or worse considering the circumstances I had. Put faith in what you have become instead is my advice.
I never even watched this when I was little, but it gets me every time when Christopher says that he likes to do nothing. As a college student, doing nothing is my favorite thing too, just because it reminds me of the simplicity of pure happiness. It reminds me of when I was little and had far fewer responsibilities, too. ;)
@PteroclesX Don't we all wish that? Yeah, as a college student, I enjoy the view of Lake Michigan from my room, and think of simpler times. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing! :-)
The 2011 film, IMO, lives up well to these stories, since it incorporates some unwritten Milne stories. Thank you, Clare Milne--CR's daughter--for getting Disney to realize what makes the silly old bear beloved the world over! In the end, I prefer the book ending, because "in that Enchanted Place on top of The Forest, a little boy and his bear will always be playing" sounds better, as it proves that CR would still have Pooh with him in some capacity.
Well I guess it means that everyone has to grow up and you cant stay a kid forever but you will alwayshave your memories and some people will stay faithfull forever :'(
@CryMeARiver211 If you ask me, the ending is childhood in a nutshell--walking along a river with a good friend, just having plain old good times, and enjoying what you have while it's there. There's nothing to worry about, just the summer air and imagination taking you places. Trust me, I miss those times too!
@CryMeARiver211 It always makes me think of when I was little, and I would go up to my room if I had a bad day, and hug my teddy bear. So it's true. A little bear--or really all your best childhood friends, whether they are real or imaginary--will always be there for you. So I agree entirely--childhood is such a wonderful time, and was even more wonderful thanks to Winnie the Pooh!
Oh, good God, you idiots! Why don't you all GROW UP, & simply enjoy this for what it is-simple, entertainment! These comments like, why is CR, wearing shorts, & comments about Rabbit, are moronic! I run an online animation forum, & stories like Winnie the Pooh are simple escapism! Quit making such a fuss, & simply enjoy them for what they are-pure entertainment! It's called "suspension of disbelief!" DO IT! Sheeesh!
@99FeeBee99 To you/anyone(?) it's hard for him to get along with Tigger in a proper way.. But I when I was small, and I had this dream that rabbit he takes something that wasn't his without knowing he took advantage out of Piglet's feelings all because he turns into a girl, rabbit drove everyone crazy, and he swears at me verbally this whole time. If I were in this movie, I should say: "THAT'S ENOUGH RABBIT! I had enough. If you won't think about others before yourself..
@99FeeBee99 OH MY GOD, RABBIT! >:( YOU'RE TOO STRESS, STRICT, AND IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND PEOPLE'S FEELINGS, OR ANYTHING EXCEPT YOUSELF!" I knew I was going to scold him that, because he made one of his friends feel hurt. If that happens in reality for example, (not the cartoon way) in person.. How would the person that you wanted to put trust in him/her, and then he/she just make you shock by vebal-abuse, put-downs, etc? *Please don't rate me as thumbs up/down. It's for my own account's safety
@TmoT100: ironic, for pooh never forgot, but cr himself tried to, only to face his childhood again & accept as a part of him before his passed in 2006; in fact, it's thanks to cr's disabled daughter (out of marriage to cousin leslie)--clare milne--that pooh went back to his roots with the 2011 film
Man first time I saw the ending to this movie I cried my eyes out for days and days. I only saw the shorts before but when I saw the whole thing I cried my eyes out. Why must innocence have to end and we have to grow up. I wish I was lost so I would be off to neverland and never have to grow old or say goodbye to all my childhood friends and innocence. ^_^ I love you pooh bear and I will always play with you silly ole bear
Rabbit was always such a twit. OK, yeah, Tigger bounces a lot, but that's how he is. And Tigger is one of my favorite Disney characters of all time. The way Rabbit yelled at Tigger made him one of my least favorite Disney Characters. Still, Tigger and Rabbit are an Odd Couple.
It always kind of makes me sad at the end when Christopher Robin has to leave all of his childhood friends to go to school.
There's just a certain time in every kid's life when he/she loses all innocence, and once it's gone, it's gone forever.
When the narration says "wherever they go or whatever happens along the way..." the animation of Chris and Pooh running down the road together just fits so well. It's so damned innocent, I just can't get over it.
@violinboy345 I agree, it is sad. Probably if there was a different story called "The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh Part 2: Christopher Robin Returns" that would be very nice. It would be very nice if all of Christopher Robin's animal friends welcome him with a party and then it says that he buys a computer for each of them and gives them an email address so he will always keep in touch with them. (I know this is only a children's story but, it would be sweet).
I just noticed this and I have to say it: When Tigger stops bouncing, it starts snowing and it's all gloomy, but as soon and Tigger bounces Rabbit, it immediately clears up!! I JUST noticed it!! I know I commented just now, but I had to say that.
Infoteq, you are now my hero for putting these on YouTube. U have brought back SO many of my memories and you have my eternal gratitude. THESE ARE CLASSIC!!!!!!

Why all the Rabbit hate? He was truly sorry about it. And everyone forgave him. Don't y'all tell me you haven't done anything stupid and then regretted it!
@PoohFanGirl1990 its not stupid, rabbit is always getting shit on, between pooh eating all of his food and tigger ruining his hard work, youd be pretty pissed too.
When I was a little girl, I used to own the VHS version of "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too". I always remember my favorite part being the scene that plays from 2:26 to 3:14. It's so adorable!

Okay as much as I love watching these and having forgotten memories of my childhood restored, I have to ask, What on earth does Christopher Robin think he's doing by wearing shorts in winter?
Thank you for posting the whole thing. There were about two parts of it that I had never seen before, mostly the parts in-between the chapters. I think Disney cut them out or something when they aired on TV when I was a little girl. Thank you! This is one of my favorite cartoons ever. :)
aw, i love winnie the pooh and piglet so much! always have since i was a little girl! i truly miss those days of when me and my bestfriend had pooh and piglet teddys, and we use to go round eachothers houses pretending to be them. brings a tear:')
Wow, the final words of Christopher Robin and Pooh are almost the exact if not the exact same as in "Pooh's Most Grand Adventure the Search for Christopher Robin."
This whole series just captures that special, timeless magical feeling. Of endless summer breaks, of warm springs and blowing breeze. It's childhood innocence given shape and sound. From beginning to end.
@Jam24511 rabbits a jerk? tigger is the one always runing rabbits garden? how would you like it if you worked really hard on something and someone just came through your house and ruined it? see things from rabbits eyes

Narrator: "Heh, Heh, Well Tigger, your bouncing really got you into trouble this time."
Tigger: "Say, Who are you?"
Narrator: "I'm the Na-rrator."
Tigger: "Oh well, please for goodness sakes, Narrate me down from here."
I just love it. ><
