Cissy actually did something very clever on that album: She recorded the song, "Be My Baby", with an arrangement reminiscent of her niece Dionne Warwick's Burt Bacharach recordings, and then she covered one of those songs, "I just don't know what to do with myself", and gave it a "wall of sound" arrangement like "Be My Baby" had originally. Very, very clever.

Love Cissy Houston's voice - very rare to find a singer with an equally strong head voice and chest voice.

But I think her Janus solo tracks suffer from pedestrian arrangements. Compare this to her version of "One Less Bell to Answer" on Burt Bacharach's solo album, and you'll see and arrangement to match her talent.
