If you are actually lifting with intensity you should have something sugary to replace you're glycogen levels since they are depleted after intense lifting.
Include starchy carbs in a few (2-3) of your meals on days that you lift. Eat a starchy carb (brown rice, yam, banana, whole wheat bread) and an easily digestible protein (such as why protein) within 1/2 hour of your resistance training workout.

but my workout ends around 10pm , at night , so I do eat a chicken breast after my weight lifting.
