Batman WILL die in the next one. New image shows Bane walking away and Batman's maks broken in half on the ground. It also features ash in the air and all over on the ground.

The next movie takes place eight years after Dark Knight, with an aging Batman, so it's unlikely they'd use extra Heath footage (unless it's as flashback 'something he told Batman that we didn't see before' material).

my friend knows one of the makeup artists from the dark knight. he said that she said that nolan shot lots of extra scenes with heath in them, scenes that didnt make it to the final cut. she said he may try to work in some of those scenes to fit into the dark knight rises. how awesome would that be?!

@MrRamurass Who said anything about joker being dead? He's not. Just since heath died we will never see the character again in this series. But I assume there will be consequences of his actions in the dark knight, that will influence the events in the dark knight rises but no appearance of him in the flesh...
