One thing I don't see mentioned very much in walkthrough or extras videos for this game is that if you've completed the game, Heather won't run slower when she's tired or wearing the bullet proof vest. I've only played the PS2 version, so I can't say that applies for PC.

_____Maybe if I keep saying it, some people will believe me? The lightsaber is a reference to Stephen King's DARK TOWER series--Wolves of The Calla, really. Some of the bad guys had lightsabers. Those bad guys, by the way, were out to destroy the fabric of reality, indirectly resulting in monsters invading OUR universe. Since Silent Hill I was based off of Stephen King's short story "The Mist," it makes sense.

No, to get the Heather Beam you need to kill 333 enemies on a single save file. Getting the special "transformation costume" and using it will let you use the more powerful "sexy beam."

You know you can upgrade your flamethrower and beam sword by getting a 10 star gold ranking? Its more powerful than and looks a bit different. Its just the same like the hyper blaster (silent hill 1) and the hyper spray (silent hill 2)
