yeah, it's a very low power consumption fan powered by(at least that i can see) 4 enormous capacitors. a capacitor is basically a voltage reducer- and by that i mean it's a long length of copper wire that is coiled around itself and shoved into a cylindrical tube for the purpose of holding/slowing down the electrical current (loweringthe voltage) from your wall socket's power to whatever is needed to power that entiredrive. the only problem is the entire drive isn't in use- only the low watt fan
i know, you have the diasembled psu ontop of the fan plug covering up the battery, thats why it strugles to start by itself but when you help it out goes just fine
you could of hooked it up to some batteries and saved £20 in electric every year!
