  • HS sux, for a real race tune get SPARTAN. With 275 spartan tune, those big tires will be gone in no time.

  • I just took delivery of a 2010 Ford F350 with the Powerstroke turbo-diesel engine. If you can afford the truck, you can afford the fuel. I want the performance. If you want fuel economy, buy a fricken Smart sneaker!

  • the cummins is a very impressive motor, due to its higher compression it almost completely makes up for the lose of 2 cylider's. plus the good mileage of a six cylinder, the problem is that they only offer the cummins straight 6 with dodge, dodge being the one who has the most transmission failures compared to the other big 3 companies. great motor slapped onto a junk transmission. chevy has the best diesel to me, they have an isuzi 30 year old engine and an allison transmission. very strong!

  • this all coming from a ford fan, but I own all sorts of trucks in my local truck yard. powerstrokes are very good machines however if you dont do the proper maintnence on them they will fail (you guys need to remember that all machines built by man are fallable) strong? yes, but not invinsible, ford has a very very good body and frame design, if god would drive a diesel he would drive a ford with the new chevy diesel engine and allison transmission. but sadly that truck wouldnt be bulletproof ;)

  • Try again, 03-04 6.0 stock are 275/ 525, 05-07 6.0 are 325/570 and 08+ 6.4 are 350/650.

    Tuned thats a different story.

  • maybe so, but you need to realize that is not going to be your average rpm while driving or pulling a heavy load down the highway. Horsepower is not as important as torque is anyways in a diesel application. Either way not hating on fords but the 6.0 and the new 6.4 are over-engineered piles to keep up with epa standards

  • If your sct tuner says you have 800hp don't trust it . put it on a dyno. I have tried those out the lie big time. You can make them say what ever you want by controlling the wheel spin.

  • Yeah the engine noise really stuck out. The 6.0's sounded like a jet plane taking off due to the loud turbos. There isnt too much engine noise on them unless you reeeeealy step on the gas.
