I keep seeing these next time trailers and the use of the new series music and the majority of them don't work and are just painful to watch......but there are a few that do work....just hahaha

The writing on the new version is what ruins it for me. It is too formulaic and predictable now. Sure the production values are better, but the show has no soul or purpose. The new one needs to go back to basics, the writers on the original show tried harder and it showed.

Absolutely, the stories are weak, contrived excuses to crowbar in as many 'emotional' moments as possible, which seems to have taken presidence over everything else. The emphasis is all wrong, the classic stories were exciting and dramatic, whereas the new ones just seem like a waste of potential, almost like they didn't know what show they were supposed to be writing

The second Doctor Who story I ever saw, as a kid in the mid-1970's. I remember the Axos ship opening up, and the frog growing and shrinking.
