This is a really great dance song and I like it a lot. I like The Smiths, NO and PSB as well. However, this work lacks the soaring expansiveness of the (Johnny Marr) guitar driven songs "Getting Away With It" and "Get The Message." These two songs have a very original sound. Even with Neil Tennent singing harmony on "Getting Away With It," it could never be mistaken for a PSB song.
Yeah fine, but still I can tell the diff between PSB and Electronic and New Order even though this track sounds like a PSB track. I've always been a huge PSB fan and never really gave a rats ass about New Order to tell you the truth. But Electronic I like.
I absolutely loved this song when it was out in 1992 and listened to it all the time.
And i still like it now, it suits Neil's voice so well and is better than some of then PSB work. Apart from What have i done to deserve this, which is one of my all time favourite songs
Memories...i love this song!My secret little song that always will play in my heart. This is one i want to take with me when i meet the great one someday :-)
1) In descending order, when I was 18 would have killed to have Johnny Marr and Bernard's hair. 2) No one has ever looked cooler in sunglasses than Johnny Marr. 3) It's funny now, but those computer graphics (back then) were 100%, literally, bleeding-edge state of the art. 4) Man, I wish these guys had gotten together 8 years earlier and spent the 80's together making stuff (not that I would ever want the Pet Shop Boys, Smiths or New order not to exist).
You wished these guys had gotten together 8 years earlier? And prevent me from getting the best music in the world from New Order? Heck NO! I wished that Electronic never happened; New Order would have kept going on in the '90s.
i've always liked the pet shop boys even when they're ajoined with another real great band, such as new order - this song and video somehow and in someway always makes me feel better about myself - mmmm..., but awkwardly - the lyrics do make sense!!
Can you allow it to be shared on facebook please?

clearly a PSB song. However, the Jonny Marr guitar is unmistakable - just brilliant!
What are the 3D molecular models about - they seem to be undergoing conformational changes - one for the organic chemists' ;')

Music aside though, the video is very PSB to be fair!!!! Try searching for Go West on here and you'll see what I mean.

This song was not on the first album, it was a soundtrack.

Yeah but I meant the sound is clearly the same as the other tracks they did with Neil on the first record.

Listen to the album again, Patients of a Saint is the only track Neil Tennent does full vocals, The rest of the album is the New Order sound

Now its already dawning that this time I've got
Someone who won't leave me feeling...
Disappointed, once more
Disillusioned, encore
I couldn't love you, for sure
See how I'm disappointed, ah
Disenchanted, once more
Disillusioned, encore
I couldn't love you, for sure
See how I'm disappointed at all
