May I suggest that you remove the Percussion? 8-Bit Pokemon songs didn't have percussion, so they could use the noise channel for attack sounds and the low hp beep.
@Brad64LP yes, but the percussion makes the song and its not intended for a real gameboy game anyway, but a famicom/nes one. if i wanted to make it sound like gameboy, i would have used the FDS chip.
That's really good, man. It's cool to see an 8-bit version of this haha. Just a question though, how to I get a note to repeat itself without it becoming one long tone? Like a boo-doop sound instead of a straight boooooop sound?
Honestly this cover far surpasses the original in my opinion. Great job!

@fireluigi12 Even the GBC (Which had the same capabilities as a NES/Famicom) had the percussion turned off.
