Honestly, It looks pretty bad. They should just upgrade the protection on the 4500 and leave the 9900. Also they should make the cage ccm fm480 crome like.

i know everyone says this but really, im pretty sure every single hockey player would buy a helmet that has the 4500 shell and the 9900 liners and foams. The only reason why players dont buy the 4500 is because it doesnt provide enough protection.

If you honestly want to sell a helmet that is going to get EVERYONE buying it, make a helmet with the classic designs of the Bauer 4500 but the new advanced protection of the 9900 or RE-AKT.

@prorobo Yeah $210 is a bit high for a price on a helmet, but like most say it's protecting the most important part of your body. Also, keep in mind most of these helmets are good for four or five years, so that'd be $50 a year roughly over the lifetime of the helmet. When you break it down like that it's not so bad.

I've tried it on, pretty comfy bucket. Has a feel sort of like the 4500 but protection is even better than the 9900. Comes with a price tag around $150 I hear, $210 or so with the cage, which is the lightest combo on the market since the cage is made of titanium.
