  • Get slicks! Shit!

  • damals war dsf noch cool mit motorvision und sportauto tv...

  • The driving reaction and grip of this car is not the best.. maybe with a set of 4 bilstein B6 shocks would be much better!

  • wieso ist da die musik am anfgang so laut.. den moderator versteht man garnich -.-

  • ta bort echo ffs!!

  • plastic door openers ?!?!? hahah

  • Also the roadsters had 15 less horsepower because they couldnt fit the full exhaust on the cars, all z3 roadsters have a shortened exhaust system due to the trunk being shortened in. (in z3 manuel)

  • I own a 2.8 and a m, You will be amazed by 2nd - 4th gear torque in these cars, but in the highend they arent so pretty.

60 is nuttin for these cars, but after is a way more difficult climb, these cars are tuned to be low end power, because bmws are not designed for drag racing,

    Now in the us, a 2002 m5 cost (with more 50 k miles)almost the same as a 2000 3.2 M coupe so chose =P

Remember everyone, arguing on the internet is like the special olympics, you may win but your still retarted

  • Oh yeah your missing a stress bar dude you should think about getting one before you turn the way you do

  • thats balls u div! lol just helps on tight and twistys does a strut brace

  • My Z3 is only a 2.8L but it does 0-100Kh/m in 5.8 seconds

  • The 2.8 Z3 does 0-100kh/m in 5.8 seconds you say. I think you'll find it doesn't

  • If it's a Roadster, he's right. The coupe...bleh...coupe...

  • The 2.8 Roadster 0-62mph in 5.8? No where near it mate. BMW say it will reach 100km/h in 6.9 seconds. You might do a little better than that but not 5.8. The 2.8ltr unit was particularly under powered by BMW standards producing little over 190 bhp. I believe this particular lump was de-tuned by BMW to keep the power dowm (shame on you BMW), and the Z3 was actually a quite a heavy little car, the weight difference between the Z3 and the E36 Coupe were negligeable. I do like em though!

  • 6.9 is the automatic. The 2.8 stick bmw says does it in 6.2...which is conservative

its more along 6 flat..he could get 5.8

  • Hi jmd11185, I've heard that the 2.8 Z3 are capable of 6.3 although i did read a review that claimed 6.2, and as you said 6 flat sounds very possible. I still think 5.8 is very unlikely, possible but unlikely.

  • bout 6 seconds flat

  • They tested the 3.0 Z3 in this video, it does 0-60mph in 6s. The 2.8 needs 6.8s.

  • listen , the 2.8 engine is way restricted ! trust me i kow it is at something like 200bh at about 6300 or something, i can absolutely assure you that a simple chip and tune will have it singing up to 7k no probs with about 260 bh and 230 pounds all day long.

im about to get a 2.8 with the intention to supercharge giving it 300 pounds and 290 bh.

all due to the lower compression ratio of the 2.8 vs the m 3.2.

it will say ta ta to the m version,i spent 5 years on my m3 so i know ok !!

  • Sorry houdini69 you will get no where near 260 bhp with a re-map on a 2.8. Standard is 193-196bhp, a re-map will see you 10 or 15bhp at a push. Yes the 2.8 was restricted for insurance purposes but it wasn't restricted by the ecu, it was from inlet manifold. Get a 323 or 325 manifold (i can't remember which now) larger throttle boddies, a re-map, hi-flow exhaust and induction kit and you can see up to 250bhp.

this would be worth doing first even if you are going for a super charger!

  • early style m50 manifold :p

  • Cheers fella, my BMW knowledge isn't that good anymore. Just a quickie while you're here, my mate has a 2000 or 2001 E46 328. He wants to know if it has a timing belt or chain. I said i'm sure it has a chain but did they do belts on any of the E46 BMWs? If they did i wouldn't have thought they would have put a belt on the six cylinder models. If you could let me know about this it would be much appreciated. cheers

  • belts wher last used e30's, everything now is chains

  • Thank you slowdubbin68 that's what i thought. Cheers.

  • @houdini69 Why not get the M Coupé, instead of charging the normal version?

  • Cheers MadMarky that's what I thought. If the 2.8 would reach 62 mph (100km/h) in 5.8 I would buy one myself!

  • o-100kmh.. that's 62mph

  • BATMOBILE =]]]]] i love that car

  • @evilskin I love it, too.

  • It´s a 3.0i 231 bhp engine.

  • Soothingcream, sounds like your tring to sell it? lol

Is that coupe the 320hp European version or the 240 American?

  • It's neither. It's just a 3.0L 225hp.

  • your thinking of the M Coupe

  • This car is really a beast!! i would do anything to get it !!!

  • I hav a 2001 3.0i z3 coupe silver grey in color, with original BMW individual Imola red interior and chrome line package. The car is loaded with M option; i.e. differential, steering wheel, gearshift, tyres, etc. It has 36.000 kilometers on it, no prior history of accident or failure, and in exquisite condition.

  • Well done

  • the engine is really great!!! it doesn't sound like the other MW straight-six, more raw and almost porsche-like :)
