  • Where are those voices today...

  • I just read her Biography. What a fine woman with a great wit and a true compassion for the underdog. My kind of woman.

  • I like Jim and I miss Molly. They always told the truth and Jim still does.

  • Thanks for sharing this with us! I miss Molly every time I read the opinion page of the paper!

  • We sure need her today.

  • Thank you soo much for posting this...to see her speak and to have her character captured on film is a true treasure..

I knew Ms. Ivins...She truly was a wonderful and intellegant woman....Conversations with her whether or not you paid any attention to politics ..made you want to...her brillence will be truly missed...I know those angles never knew what hit them when they welcomed you...You truly were a one of a kind...I miss and love you Molly...

  • When she describes the support of civil libertarians for the right of the KKK to march I think Gawd bless Molly Ivins and Gawd Damn the ARA

  • A1 stuff Rhein, Thanks! keep banging the pots and pans

  • Politics is "legalized bribery" in the form of campaign contributions!

  • Molly Ivins rules. reading one of her opinions in the paper was like finding a diamond in a heap of coal. I will miss Molly Ivins

  • Molly Ivins was a fantastic person. She deserves the press coverage way more than Anna Nicole. Thanks for posting this.

  • Though we probably differed on many domestic and foreign policies she was a charming woman, and deserves to be remembered in a positive light.

  • Thanks for posting this, what a wonderful woman and patriot she was, love ya Molly, keep on raising hell.

  • rock on.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! She was brilliant, essential and will be much missed.

  • Everytime she speaks, it's another instant classic. "Have a good time." She certainly showed us how. We'll miss her.

  • D'oh! I just noticed that I mistyped the year on the date in the subtitle on the video (2006 instead of 2002)! I was editing this around midnight Wednesday and was also sick, and I got it right in the text description on the side, so hopefully I can be forgiven this little goof. I can correct the title on my own version, but I don't think I can change the video while keeping the same URL, links, and comments, can I?

  • Thank you for posting this! I was one of the hundreds of volunteers helping with this event and this was one of the speakers I was too far away and busy to see. Helped me clear the tears from my eyes at her passing today.

  • Thanks! I have a fair amount of additional video which I planned to use in one of those "when I get around to it" projects, that never actualy get done. The other speeches I taped would be too long to fit in 1 part since Youtube limits videos to 10 minutes. I should at least import them all and make a complete DVD. Maybe I could then Bittorrent the DVD image.

  • btw, thanks rheinhard for putting this up. Peace.

  • America has lost a great democratic spirit. I am grateful for all the work she did for us all. In the age of infotainment, she was a breath of fresh air. God bless Molly.

  • Oh and GET A DAMN MAMMOGRAM! I made my appointment.

  • Thank you for everything, Molly. I hope you're partying with Ann Richards!

  • damn blurry monitor . . .

  • God Bless your little pea pickin heart Molly!!!

    We'll miss you!

  • I'm from Texas where Molly Ivins is. And she'll always be a part of all of us.

  • Thanks for posting. There ought to be more here at YouTube of Molly Ivins. She was a great American and Texan.
