They did nothing of the thing.... If we are to believe your comment (and there is more chance of HMQ pardoning the 10 Hunger Strikers) then why TF has Arbour Hill and Kilmainham Gaol been turned into a nation tourist destination and every year the Rising is commemorated by a march past, down Sackville Street, and various tv shows dedicated to that week?
@GlasgowCeltic88 brave and bold.no free stater am i,but irish and proud.wolfe tone emmett real orange lads.but never lodge shite.cork wont have them cunts march.celtic is irish and should remember that.godbless
This song shakes the Irish soul ! Not since then nor ever again could have any song grasped the hour and the honor. May the good GOD hold them in his keeping forever.
Can anyone upload the video of the orig. Clancy Bros. version of The Foggy Dew w/ the harp & flute in the backgrd? U know the 1 that was recorded in a studio? This is a good version, but nothing beats the one aforementioned I wish I could hear...The Foggy Dew happens a lot here in So. California-San Diego, to be exact, just ask any San Diegan living here... :) "...where wild geese go..." undoubtedly, the movie, "The Wild Geese" w/ famous Irish actor Richard Harris was influenced by this song.
thanks for your effort...when trying to hear the version I wanted to hear which you helped upload, i just got an error message by, I guess, the copyright holder, that prohibits me to double click & open the version you was so nice enough to send me.

History remembers them. They are recalled in prose and song more than any others in Irish History.
