For the sake of the flying spaghetti monster...scientists who study global climate change know a hell of a lot more about it than the people posting here. OF COURSE they know about ups and downs in the temperature over the thousands of years; they are the ones who publish those reports you read. The newest warming cannot be 100% accounted for and the evidence points to man-made emissions. They simply follow the facts. Why is this so hard to understand?

@RideMyBMW You're absolutely right, there were no SU's back then, but then, those climate changes took centuries (we are talking in millenia terms) and not a couple of decades. And, and this might surprise the everage black&white thinker, just because tere are ALSO natural causes for a climate change, it doesnt mean there are ONLY natuaral causes. Compare it with rusting and burning: both chemically the same thing - oxidation - but one slow and steady the other accelerated by other influences.
