If you read the info box above, you'll see i apologized for all our yelling during the recording..

When I recorded it, I had no idea I would end up posting it on YouTube and thousands of people would view it (more than 1/2 million on the Fantasia song!)

There is no full video of Patti doing this from the Tribute..

The only video is what was edited and broadcast on TV..

My audio recordings of all the songs that nite are the only full recordings of each performance that evening.

I just recorded the audio and JoJo in Atlanta turned the audio files into these YT videos..

By the way, the Fantasia "Somebody Loves You" video from Patti's Tribute has 3/4 million views already - wow!

Actually, Fantasia and all the other performers did indeed sing at the end of this.. Patti invited them all to come on the stage with her, but I'm not what time they start singing with her..

Yeah, it's a bummer that all the performances were cut off on the TV broadcast.. the good news is that I was able to post the full audio files for every song!

I never saw the DVD or heard anything about one..

I just sent a question on the UNCF site asking if there is one, and if so, how to get it...

Actually, I just now noticed that JoJo, the person in Atlanta who made these videos for me, used the cover photo at the start of this vid from the "Limited Edition DVD"!

I don't think she has it, though..

I never knew anything about that DVD or noticed it here on my video!

Just searched on Amazon for it and couldn't find it..

Hopefully UNCF will reply... I'll let you know..

Lord, she can still be/sound hoarse, but that won't stop her from piping and belting out her songs!!!!!! I love this song, and when Patti sang it on t.v, i cried, died, came back, and cried again. and listening to her now. GIVE ME STRENGTH!!! Her voice never fails her!! and even if her voice was hoarse and couldn't sing like she wanted to, we still love her.

I would have been screaming too if I was there LOL. No, I can't believe this was recorded with a digital camera either. I thought that you had the hook up and got it from someone that worked for the sound engineering that was there that night or something like that LOL. It wasn't a digital camera - it was a little Olympus "Digital Voice Recorder" WS-311-M (I couldn't have smuggled in a camera!, but this audio recorder is really small!) I use it to record my grad school lectures ;-)

Yeah, it was so inspiring, especially all the shoutouts she 'subtly' gave for Obama, without ever mentioning his name-- Just: "A change MUST come!"

I've been listening very closely to her voice lately, and it seems really variable...I guess like any human phenomena. Some days I can sing high notes, some days I can't...and with the amount of shows Patti does, it's no surprise that her voice leaves her sometimes. It's good here though!

there are some people that have posted on some of her other performance that my gurl is washed up and that her voice leaving her, but this performace and some of her more recently performamce say other wise, don't you think so?

She was extraordinary at this Tribute.. everyone has their opinion, though.. brilliant, and if listening to this sounds like her "voice is leaving her", then I think those folks need to get their hearing checked!
